Aisha looked down at the notebooks. At the life contained inside them. At the family that had never existed. And for the first time since arriving at Belle Vue, she felt something unexpected. Not professional curiosity. Not clinical interest. Something far more dangerous. Compassion. I could feel their auras already covering them behind us just as I felt my father's aura pull back from me, leaving me exposed while he continued to suppress his own. Just then, three men approached us and, seeing my father, all three nodded their heads in greeting. So, they were the "muscle" my father had hired for the night. I looked at the men; all tall, muscular and intimidating. One was shirtless, his defined abs more impressive than those of the models from the pornos Leanne had made me study. I reached out with my aura to probe theirs to assess if they were a threat or not. "Werewolves," I breathed out.

I died in a cellar due to asphyxiation. By the time I woke up again, I found that my soul had reappeared next to my three older brothers. The three of them had just returned to our huge villa. The eldest, Ian Haldeman, and the second eldest, Will Haldeman, were holding our stepsister, Lorelei Surridge's hands. In a kind voice, one of my brothers began, "Thank goodness we got you to the hospital just in time. Otherwise, it might take you a longer time to recover."

And the last time, before Arash was busy with various organisational matters, the book had also been stored in this room. Arash's sharp eyes began to scan and show full attention to the rows of books that were covered in dust. His feet moved slowly, circling every bookshelf in the room. A few moments later, Arash saw a very thin book tucked between a pile of thick books with covers that looked like holy scriptures, and his gaze stopped on that book. His hand quickly grabbed the thin book and a smile appeared on his face, because he had found the book quite easily. "Yes ... this is the book." The cover of the book was exactly the same as Zaya's, confirming Arash's assumption.
