“When the time comes.” He lifts his hand and presses his fingers against my forehead. Heat floods my skull, but not pain. Memory and magic. Visions crash into me: A wolf wrapped in flame standing at the mouth of a burning forest. A woman with eyes like Zenith’s, cradling a newborn wrapped in silver light. A throne made of obsidian, cracked straight through the middle. A war. A kiss. A howl that splits the sky. And then, his voice, soft again. “Awaken, Crownless One.”

I choked out. “No.” His grip tightened. “It is beginning.” “What is beginning?” His voice was barely a whisper. “The awakening.” My eyes flew open as light exploded through my entire body. And the world vanished.

It soon moved to the place where there would be a part towards the address that was stated on the paper that was given to the to lift them. And they didn’t know what was happening on the other side of the world where Herald was placed. ‘You are finally awake. Thank goodness’ Herald thought to him self as he didn’t really want to speak. It’s been ages since he last woke up. Who would have thought that Herald with a thing as this.

SELENA’s POV. When I woke up later, I was alone with the witch. The pain had reduced, I could think clearly now. Just that my wolf was still in some kind of pain which somehow I could manage. I slowly pulled my body out of bed, ignoring the dizziness that followed. I was a bit surprised when I woke up and I didn’t see Aiden. I had to call him almost immediately and he told me he was coming back. Not like I wasn’t comfortable here, I just felt more comfortable with him around.

Groaning, I opened my eyes, slowly, forcing them shut when I saw bright lights. Did I die and go to heaven? No, not when my intriguing journey of life was just about to begin. Pulling myself upright, I looked around, I was in the middle of a bunk bed trying to figure out where I was. It was in a moldy, it had a few cupboards to the corner. A concrete table in the middle that has monitors, radios, and a whole lot of junk stacked on top of it, and a few buckets laying around on top of what seem to be newspapers. The water stains on the raw, cracked walls were both from last night showers, and previous rains, and that's when I remembered, No, not my life before this but last night... About me
