Just as I was about to turn back to the guests, I felt a soft tug on my sleeve. I looked down to see a young girl, no older than ten, staring up at him with wide, curious eyes. I remember though I have forgotten her name. She had the same dark hair and sharp features as her mother, one of the pack’s most loyal members.
“Alpha Damien,” she said, her voice timid. “One man said to give you this.”
She held out a small folded note. I crouched down to her level, my expression softening as I took the note.
