Babysitter Confessions Novels & Stories

“My name’s Therese. I’ll be with you everyday. Nice to meet you!” “You mean…you’re my new attendant?” “Uh y-yeah. Something like that.” “How long will you stay here?” Therese’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “I’ll stay here everyd–” “Will you also leave me when you get tired of me like the rest of ‘em?” Did he mean his previous babysitters? Oh god, how many did he have before her?

I rush into the apartment, surprised and confused when I see all four of my children together. My babysitter is standing in the kitchen looking very confused, and before the kids realize I’m there, I sidle over to her. All the rage and fear that had been pulsing through my veins a moment ago has disappeared completely, leaving me feeling somewhat dizzy. “Sadie, what on earth is going on?” I ask the college-aged nanny.

This woman clearly isn’t a Pembroke employee, but something about her already mentioning wanting to commit murder tells me she won’t rat on Charlotte for cursing in front of a member. “It’s fine,” the woman gets out with a sigh. “I’m Camille. And trust me, I wish I could ditch him. I dream about it every night, but tragically, my job depends on babysitting a self-absorbed asshole who wants to make my life miserable any chance he gets.” “That sounds awful,” I remark, feeling bad for her. She looks about my age, maybe a little older. Her stress is evident in the rigid set of her shoulders and the slight wrinkle on her forehead.

I replied honestly, as my confidence rejuvenated. I was no longer the scared, love struck girl I used to be. I am a woman now, a strong, hate struck woman and whatever tonight brings I can handle. Now I just had to wait for my babysitter to arrive. I am not usually comfortable with unvetted women looking after my baby, but Loretta had five stars on the app. It would have to suffice. ______

She was wearing a dark pencil skirt, a white collared shirt with roll-up arm cuffs, and black heels that were exceptionally sensible. She had tied up her hair into a knot at the back of her head so I could see the heart shape of her face. Again, I felt that familiar little nagging that told me I was missing something obvious, but I pushed it aside and gestured for her to come in. “You’re not disturbing me,” I said. “I just finished my call. What’s the problem?” “Uh…your babysitter is on line two,” she told me. “She asked to speak to you.” Slightly annoyed, I nodded.

I could feel his eyes on me every second I was on the phone. Felicity patted on the couch beside her, “Come sit with me. It’s not like I bite,” she said to Alessandro, who seemed a little taken aback by her but then walked over to the couch and settled beside her. His broad frame making her look almost tiny in comparison. I glanced over as the phone started to ring, catching a snippet of their conversation—something conspiratorial that I couldn’t quite make out. God only knew what they were talking about. “Another one bites the dust,” I muttered, hanging up after the third failed attempt. I placed a hand on my forehead, trying to keep my frustration from spilling over. “I can’t find a babysi

‘She can have kids of her own’? Cole, however, the ever supportive friend that he was, came to my rescue. "Look…Sir…this is my friend and neighbor, Kathleen Moore, and I have known her for ages. She has a very clean record and has a wealth of experience as an A-level babysitter. Why would she try to abduct a child all of a sudden where there is absolutely no reason for her to do so? There is a mix-up somewhere and I'm certain that if you hear her out, you'll understand where you got this wrong."

"We've already confirmed with the hospital. The injured party is Rose Jenkins, female, 12 weeks pregnant. Due to severe impact, the pregnancy was lost. What else do you have to say?" I let out a small laugh. "The hospital? Which doctor ran that exam? Bring them here. Let's talk face-to-face. I've said it already. Rose is a man. There's no fetus in there. Just a silicone implant and a bag of red ink." That made them pause. They probably hadn't seen a suspect this stubborn before. One of the male officers slammed his hand on the table. "You still won't admit what you did? The surveillance footage, your coworkers' statements, the hospital report, everything points to you! You think making thing

Everyone was in an uproar. David's face turned ghostly pale in an instant. "Turn it off! Turn it off now!" he shouted hoarsely. But the system was completely out of control. Finally, the screens froze on a playback interface. An audio clip automatically started playing. "Mr. Quill, I've already tampered with the brakes. I guarantee nothing will go wrong…" Then, a calm, vicious voice echoed clearly in every corner of the conference room. "You'll get your share once the job is done."

I should never say this to anyone. If anyone ever found these pages, I’d burn with shame, but my body won’t let me forget, and if I don’t put it somewhere, I’ll explode. It started so innocently. I was babysitting, the kids finally asleep, the TV murmuring in the background. His house was too warm, the couch was too soft, and I made the mistake of letting myself drift off. When I woke, I wasn’t alone. At first, I thought I was dreaming the faint touch along my leg, the careful weight of fingers that didn’t belong to me. I froze, eyes still shut, breath shallow. My heart pounded so loud I was sure he could hear it.
