My Badass Alpha
It felt surreal, like some nightmare I couldn’t wake up from.
But then Jerry led me to the back of the ambulance, where a body was laid out, covered by a charred, singed cloth. I took a deep breath, my heart pounding as I steeled myself.
I lifted the cloth, just enough to see her face, what was left of it, anyway. The flesh was blackened, barely recognizable, the fire having claimed almost everything.
My stomach churned, bile rising in my throat. This wasn’t a body; this was a message. A sick, twisted message sent by whoever had orchestrated this. They wanted to send a warning, to show us how far they were willing to go to destroy the Blue Moon pack.
