Iniko: A New Beginning
I watch as Phoenix lights the path that she made, the path where she collected my ashes and brought them to the hatching grounds, putting them into a glass enclosure then shaping it into a dragon’s egg.
“I will see you soon, Iniko.” Her current voice overlays with the voice in the scene as my ashes reform in the glass egg to create my embryo all over again. It makes the hairs on my body stand up again.
The scene falls away, and Phoenix turns to me.
“Do you understand now?”
