Barbie A Mermaid's Tale Novels & Stories

BLUE Was marriage the only think a mermaid was supposed to do when she grew up? I asked myself that as I began getting ready for the big day ahead. My friends Coral and Oceana were braiding my hair and fixing it with sea shells. Since my hair was the longest among my friends, they loved braiding it. I looked at my appearance in the mirror and realized how beautiful the hairstyle had turned out to be. “You look like a princess Blue!” Coral complimented me. “I’m sure Adrian will fall head over heels in love with you.”

Greenish grains of sand-fireflies flashed on the sponges. Erida touched the laces encircling her thighs, and they slid like snakes between her fingers. Pulling on the tip of the tail, the queen exposed her all while itchy flipper-legs, revealing ink-black scales. This cunning outfit, which creates a full-fledged mermaid look, was given to her by her aunt after her niece returned from the depths of Sombra.

she snapped, “I need to get back the shop before the boss has my head. Is this about the Bloody Barbies again?” Bloody Barbie was the nickname Maria gave to the murders ever since she’d gotten involved as a suspect. It was an apt name. Each crime scene that had been investigated was painted red with each victim’s blood, and in each one there would be a bloody doll left behind (though, not exactly a Barbie), no less than three feet away from the body.

I slowly lifted my hand and pointed a finger at myself with a look of disbelief. "So that means..." I trailed my words carefully "I-I'm a mermaid?" 'Am I a mermaid? Am I Ariel? Is this Disney?' Joewella chuckled at my reaction and shook her head. "No, my lady but the late empress is." My jaw instantly dropped at the unexpected tea she spilled. "...how is that possible?!" Joewella smiled gently at me as if reminiscing an ancient memory before opening her lips.

This story- although a fairy-tale- doesn’t begin with once upon a time nor does it end in happily ever after. No, our story begins in a small town- not too far from here- where an ambitious young girl called Arabella lives with her widowed father, Abraham. Arabella doesn’t come from a large or rich family, it is just her and her alcoholic father that live in the small two-bedroom townhouse in the middle of the small, yet quaint township of Redwood.

All the other mermaids didn't have any smiles or fake ones on their faces but hers was so real. "Gabriella," Demeter said and I jogged to catch up with them "What were you doing?" Hera asks "Staring," I reply bluntly, "At her," I point quickly at the mermaid a small smile gracing my lips as I see her red hair "Oh, Ariel?" Poseidon asks and the girl looks over here making me hold in my laughter and I'm sure Death was doing the same thing Tears were pooling in my eyes as I tried not to laugh and I'm sure I was red.

I thought it was just a love story between Barbie and the prince, but I am wrong because there is a part in the end that Barbie's mother is a queen lady. “Why she’s not afraid to live on the island? ‘Isn’t she the only one there?” “N-no. She is with her animal friends,” "But not all animals are friendly." "That's where she grew up so she's not afraid anymore," I replied. She nodded. “What do you think? When I grow up, ‘when there is a prince, will he take me to my Mommy? Like what the Prince did to find her mother?” I was suddenly drowned in my own saliva.

Someone scoffed, "Even if you're the school's beauty, you shouldn't just say anything, right?" Haley's lips still curled into a smile, neither humble nor arrogant. "The inspiration for this dress design isn't from Western mermaids, but from the most mysterious creatures in Eastern mythology, the merfolk. Legend has it that merfolk’s tears turn into pearls. Humans, driven by greed, began hunting merfolk..."
