The mermaid responded to Hazel's question. “I need two favors actually. I need you to break a witch's spell and then kill a witch by midnight. I'll persuade her to come here by midnight or wherever you're comfortable with.”, “I prefer this place. And yes, I'll do as you say. You saved my life!". "Come with me please so you can get accommodated in the palace for the meantime!” Hazel said, gesturing for the mermaid to come with her. “You too Alex!". I immediately went with them both and went into Hazel's room. Hazel offered the mermaid some clothes before bringing us to her bed to sit.

“I didn’t realize this kingdom ran on Swiss time.” “Important people always run on time.” She turned back to her Barbies. “Sit down. But don’t step on Lawyer Barbie.” I looked down. A Barbie in white glasses and a pale pink suit was lying near my foot, a tiny purse still clutched in her hand. I arched a brow. “Which one is Lawyer Barbie?” Poppy looked at me like I’d just asked what the sky was. “The mean one.” “Extremely helpful explanation.” “That’s Auntie Hazel Barbie.” She pointed without looking. “And this one,” she said, lifting a Barbie with ridiculously long hair and a sparkly purple dress, “is Auntie Rhea Barbie. She works in camera and says everybody has to pose.”

We had dinner at my parents house and then we went back to ours. "Georgia, we're going shopping tomorrow to decorate your bedroom. What do you like?" I asked her. "Mermaid." She giggled. "Alright, the little mermaid theme it is." I tickled her. She threw her arms and hugged me. "Would you like to change the theme too?" Aaron asked Liv. "Belle." "Beauty and the beast? Is that your new favorite princess?" He asked. She nodded. "Aright then, tomorrow we shop for princess stuff." I said and Aaron groaned. He hates shopping.

Barbie-themed, complete with soft pink ruffles, glittering icing, and a mini fondant version of me in the center, wearing a replica of my dress. I burst out laughing. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” Carmen nudged me, grinning like a devil. “Somebody’s Ken is obsessed with his Barbie,” she whispered, her eyes flicking to Vincent across the room. “Shut up,” I muttered, but I was blushing. She leaned closer. “Make a wish, Barbie.” I closed my eyes, lacing my fingers together as the room quieted. “I wish to live the life of my dreams.”

Yryhnna and I would laugh every time she told the story, as she always contradicted herself and added qualities to the human named Mathias that neither Yryhnna nor I remembered. In the morning, I made myself breakfast, packed my books in my pearl bag, and put on a turquoise dress with floral patterns. I swam to the surface. Now there were guards ascending to the surface, registering every mermaid or marine creature leaving the kingdom. I had to arrive before sunset, or they would send coastal guards to search for me. And my father would start to worry.

I could hear glass click together as she refilled her glass. "I'm sorry. I just have a lot on my mind right now. I'm going to go for a swim." "I'd say that I'd join you, but I've literally been drinking all day, so I think it's best if I stay here to enjoy the night." "Probably it is, Aisling. Drunken water fairies are where the mermaid rumors originated from, anyway." I kept my eyes on the waters' calm surface, a smile forming on my face as it lightly splashed against my feet.

Thanks to her small body, she fit in between the bars of the cage. " Send her back right now. " She said in a bold voice but all the mermaids looked at her and snickered while I shook my head. "And who might you be, a little girl who's not a mermaid but seems like us." A mermaid said and a rope of water shot out from Bloom's hand and roped round the neck of the mermaid, dragging her to Bloom. "She's going if you don't take that pretty lady out of that ugly cage. And so will all of you after this one goes." She said tightening the water rope.

Aqua was exhausted from crying so much, but it was worth it. The price she had to pay for using her powers showed up in the form of human legs. Her mother used to tell her stories about mermaids who could no longer swim. It was the price to pay for borrowing the powers of the moon, but Aqua did not believe it until now. The story of the kind mermaid who cried for everyone who was injured, gradually lost her tail and was eventually unable to transform back into a mermaid was deeply ingrained in Aqua. She promised her mother that she would not use her powers carelessly because a mermaid could only save three lives before they lost their tails completely.

Each of them ate one marble and swam under the sea. It shocked them how they can see clearly even when it's night. Not only that, their clothes and hair aren't wet. They can even talk telepathically. And below, they wait for the lost boy to drop wolves which will be given the marble to swallow. They didn't all have to go but as they say, the more the merrier.
