Zane scowled, prowling underneath his skin as Zack shook his head again. ‘If you wish to know if she was being honest or not, maybe I can persuade Caleb to let me go and visit the town. You know, snooping around if the old man Mr. Papadopoulos would need another delivery of lumber,’ Zack stated as he wrapped new bandages upon his wound. Zane purred as he brushed against their mind link. ‘That is an excellent idea, little boy. Maybe we can scout how our little Samantha and Scarlet are doing in their jobs,’ Zane stated as Zack pulled a new shirt over his head. He pulled on the new black denim before slipping on his shoes and going out of the house.

After taking the antibody, I felt power coursing through me. I used the Skynet surveillance system in my parents' base to monitor Chris. I saw him fooling around with Jessica in the house I bought. He laughed maniacally and said, "Don't worry, I'll definitely win first place in the base competition! I'll use my spatial power to pack all those zombies away. You'll be a base leader's wife soon." Zack opened the door and found the hospital health aides who will bathe Justin. "Good morning sir, we are here to bathe the patient Justin Nate Dalton" the middle-aged woman politely greeted Zack. "Good morning, yes, of course, come in. I'm sorry I took so long to open it, I was... I was in the bathroom... " Zack widen the door and let the tree aids enter with his awkward smile. Zack lead them to the ensuite and the three started to prepare Justin for his bath while Zack watch their every move from the couch.

My seatbelt secures me tightly, and I realize we're driving fast. "Are you kidnapping me? Seriously, Zack, stop it! Let me out!" I protest, but he doesn't respond. Instead, he accelerates until he stops at a motel. A motel? What are we doing here? "Zack, why are we at a motel?" He parks the car and turns to me. "Zack?" At the reception desk, I remain silent, not wanting to embarrass him. "One room, please. Your best room," he addresses the receptionist, who beams at him.

The rumor spreading on the top floor was that Harrison had fainted after accidentally falling down the stairs. "Why did Mr. Harrison take the stairs? Doesn't he have a private elevator?" someone wondered aloud. "Who knows?" The higher executives suspected Caleb's involvement. After returning to his office, Caleb thought of the slap mark on Penny's face and felt a boiling rage in his chest. Then, the thought that she had abandoned him for three Hollywood roles fueled his anger further. He opened his laptop and accidentally saw the latest entertainment news. Zach, an artist from S.M., had joined the cast of The Final Battle as a mystic master.

Ace started, cocking a brow at Zach like he was mentally measuring bicep circumference and background-check credentials all at once, “besides the hero routine and the towel-folding, what’s your story, man?” Zach’s mouth quirked in mild amusement, completely unbothered. “Zach Dayton. Firehouse Nine. Just trying to help.” “That’s convenient,” Ace mused, crossing his arms again. “Good Samaritan with abs shows up, sticks around, impresses the cat…” “Spitfire bit you,” I reminded him, folding my arms tighter, cheeks heating. Ace shrugged, totally unfazed by the warning nip from my hormonal, overprotective cat. “She was testing boundaries. Happens to the best of us.”

Zack came to the Hilton Hotel. After pushing open the door of the room, Dr. Zack greeted Billy and then sat down. Billy kept fiddling with the wine glass in front of him but didn't say anything. At once, the atmosphere turned tense. Dr. Zack was very uneasy, feeling that something terrible might happen. "Dr. Zack, are you hiding something from me?" Billy narrowed his eyes and said slowly. Dr. Zack trembled, rubbed his hands under the table, and shook his head, "Mr. Day, I don't know what you mean."

Zack extinguished his cigarette, his voice filled with warmth echoed in the darkness. Then the lights turned on, and the man in the white shirt tightened the coat draped over my shoulders, I looked up at him, still half-asleep, and asked, "What took you so long?" Zack paused. "Sherry was a victim of a scam on her way home from work." He couldn't even be bothered to make an excuse. Feeling somewhat numb, I asked, "So you went to handle it for her?" Zack nodded. "Yeah." The pent-up grievances burst forth, and tears rolled down my cheeks.
