Drake stepped out from right behind a wide stone pillar, his black tuxedo jacket unbuttoned, his face flushed red from the drinks he had been downing at the bar. His eyes were wide, glassy, and red-rimmed, locking directly onto my belly before rising to meet my face.
"Back off, Mom," Drake muttered, his speech slightly slurred.
