Before heading home, I stopped at the hospital to have a conversation with doctor John about needing a nurse who could help with support for a patient who neeeded attention at home. He was delighted to help as he asked about Bella’s welfare. After the conversation he recommended a nurse who was slightly above Bella's height and looked petite like her. She said her name was Karen.

The nurse said again. “ Why can't I?, like i'm not doing anything wrong, I just stood here, how is that wrong?” Bella fired back. “ Ma’am I saw it all!” The nurse retorted. “ Well, you saw wrong!” Bella spat. “Ma’am please leave, if you don't, I'll have no choice but to call security on you, if you don't leave” the nurse added, now very loud. “ Give me a minute, I'll be back!” Dr Andrew stood up and walked out the door.

Knowing the seriousness of the situation, the nurse felt anxious inside but dared not confront Debbie directly; she twisted her clothing in discomfort, bit her lower lip, and stayed silent. Debbie was about to scold the nurse further, but under the relentless urging of Madam Thomas, she let her be and walked casually towards the VIP ward. Inside the ward, the atmosphere was very tense. Several nurses surrounded Bobby's bed, conducting checks. The monitor above the bed beeped incessantly. The nurse taking Bobby's blood pressure was so frazzled that she didn't notice Debbie and blurted out in panic, "His blood pressure is now 90 over 59, and it's still dropping." Another nurse added,

She said, flashing a smile that was more businesslike than friendly, and it took everything not to slap it off her face. “Hmm.” I managed to moan weakly when pain spread to my arms. “Sorry about that.” The nurse from earlier said, “I am Nurse Bella, and these are my colleagues. We are just going to check your vitals, and I will ask you some questions. Blink once for a yes and twice for a no, is that alright?" There was something within me that had problems following the rules. Rules were meant to be broken, and I have made it my life mission to break rules. But this was important, so I blinked once.
