Beautiful Creatures Lena Duchannes Novels & Stories

he said, “a blinding silver light was seen in the forest. Wolves said it felt like the moon itself was shaking.” A strange pulse hit my chest. Like my heart wanted to break free. Draven finished softly, “Maybe that girl wasn’t lying. Maybe she’s the missing part of your story.” Before I could answer, the scent of lavender drifted in. Lena. The door opened without hesitation. She stepped inside gracefully, smiling the way she always did—soft, warm, gentle… but somehow sharper underneath. “Draven,” she said sweetly, “could you give us a moment?” He looked between us, clearly unhappy, but bowed.

The bottle was half empty when I heard the soft footsteps. “Sir?” a gentle voice called out. My maid, Lena, stood in the doorway in her simple uniform, her eyes widening when she saw me on the floor with the bottle in my hand. She was young, maybe twenty-four, with long dark hair and soft features. In my drunken haze, she looked so much like Aurora — the same gentle eyes, the same delicate frame. “Mr. Alex… are you okay?” she asked, stepping closer cautiously. “You’re crying.” I laughed bitterly, tears slipping down my cheeks. “No. I’m not okay. I’m a monster, Lena. A fucking monster.”

Lena chipped in, and her words seemed to be a trigger for the men as they all shifted into their wolves. Without waiting for my order, they all attacked Lena, who looked undisturbed. Just as they got closer, she made a quick shift into a dragon-wolf beast just like mine. Her white wings spread out as she flew up from the ground. From her mouth, she spat out hellish fire that circled the wolves, I stared at her in utmost surprise. Her hair was pure white and linen, flowing down to her back beautifully. I could see her eyes fill with rage and sadness even when they were shining bright white like a diamond.

Clarissa would be the star. “I can’t do anything about this Belle. The producers and the sponsors had made their choice. Clarissa was their top and only choice.” Benny tried to calm Ysabella who came rushing to his office. “Why can’t you?” Ysabella was furious. “I am sure there are ways to convince these people to change their minds and choose me. “But Belle, the contract had been signed. And honestly, I wasn’t happy too but I didn’t have a choice. I tried to persuade them that you were the best but they wanted someone new,” Benny explained.

Nina: “Since your little assistant is about to steal the spotlight today… I thought you should see her first. Oh, brother… She cleans up beautifully, doesn’t she?” I blinked. Browsing knitting, I tapped on the message. There was a photo attached. And then my whole world… stopped. The image filled my screen—Elena, standing in front of a grand mirror, bathed in soft light. She was wearing a wedding gown. That wedding gown. The dress looked like it had been designed for her skin alone. Elegant lace sleeves hugged her arms, delicate and regal. The neckline framed her collarbones like art, drawing my gaze there before I could even stop myself.

"Can't you see I'm pregnant? Do you expect me to bend down and do it myself?" At that moment, I wanted to hit her so hard, but because of her pregnancy, I forced a smile and replied, "Sorry, just sit, and I'll keep washing your feet." Nora spun me around with a look of confusion, her eyes deadly staring at mine. As I was about to reply, she lifted her hands up, halting me from speaking, then turned to face Alex. "A betrayal like her isn't fit to be a Luna," she said, venom lacing her voice. Then she turned to stare at Williams, "And an Alpha like him isn't meant to have someone like you. He's always a beast and will never know what a human feels."

It also has Ombre coloured looped sleeves that sit on my arms and are attached to the halter neck in a loose loop fashion. As soon as I step out onto the floor, I know this is the dress. Anya and Jack are silent with their mouths wide open in awe. Even Jeff looks taken aback. I turn to see myself and I almost cry with joy. “Th-this is it, Martha. This is the one.” She smiles and I see her eyes glisten with a few unshed tears too. “What colour palate is this?” “It’s a cerulean blue miss.” My jaw almost drops hearing that, it’s too perfect.

True, Diane was beautiful however compared to Lena, one who had eyes would know who was more attractive. Lena had a kind of beauty that was innocent and cute, though she wasn't born in a rich family and didn't have the privilege to wear expensive luxury clothes and designer items and makeup. She was still beautiful in a soft childlike cute and suttle way. Her beauty wasn't the type that screamed in your face. It was one that was capable of warming hearts and drawing people in. Actually before the incident with Diane there were still many people comparing them in terms of beauty, and a whole lot more rooting for Lena over Diane.
