I was so over this crap, I just wanted Charlie back in my arms, it was horrible with her being so far away “You are supposed to be my brother, do you not want to help me?” “It’s not that I don’t want to help, I just think we might be falling into a trap” Kayla comes quickly into the office carrying a large book, she looks flustered as she slams the open book down on the table sending bits of dust everywhere and making me cough. Kayla apologises and asks if we have heard about the one to rule them all. I look at Alexander and he looks just as puzzled as me “What do you mean the one to rule them all?”

That's enough. I close it and put it on the shelf next to the others. Four volumes of becoming. Of breaking and rebuilding. What was the name of the book then?” “Let’s see if i remember,” Seb racked his brain. “It had a tacky title but it still managed to catch my eye.” “Tacky title?” Alex laughed. “Isn’t a bit too much to come from someone who literally knows nothing about books.” “I don’t know. It just seemed that way to me,” he shrugged. “Right, I finally remember. It was titled ‘In One Month’.”

I never heard someone laugheed like this before. She looked so innocent and pure. Well, she was a budding she-wolf and perhaps still figuring out how the world works.

He bowed slightly and then took his leave. Micah felt cold shivers running through her veins. She looked down at the bangle, caressing it. Why didn't he take it along? She was rooted to the spot for a while before walking back to the bench; she sat on it, her thoughts in a whirlwind. After a while she gazes down at the book she had brought along to read. The title was boldly inscribed on the cover of the book… "How to become politically dominant."

In the end, the inquisitive one won but first, I listened for footsteps and when I could make out none, I got off the bed and went for the book, flicking its first page open. The only person who could give me a book was Zena but it was also weird, what kind of book it was. It wasn’t the usual one we both read and enjoyed. It was some sort of self-help book and its title was even more weird. “Kicking trauma’s butt with style!”

She felt like she was a kept woman! While being lost in her own thoughts, she didn't notice that Lisa pushed the book that was placed in the table towards her. "Speaking about this book, I've got this for you since you don't have anything to do anyways. It's a book about making pills. You should give it a try." Lisa said. Naomi looked at the book that was pushed towards her. The cover wasn't that ugly nor fancy as it looked quite ordinary. The cover had some words written on it which were "The First Steps of Becoming a Mage" which should be the book's title. The book was somehow thick.

I entered mine, went through the three books I had gotten from the store, and set them down on the bed. I folded my arms and read their names. The Claiming Rites, Finding the One, and Under the Red Moon. There was no order in which anyone should read these books, so I sat down and picked up The Claiming Rites. After an hour, I finished reading. The book made zero sense, and then I picked up Finding the One and spent another hour reading through it. While the first book was incomplete, the second made a little more sense. I picked up the third, which I had gone to Zion’s room with. I took my time reading, and another hour went by.
