The voss inheritance
He was covered in dust, his eyes wide with terror.
"I'm here," Lydia managed to say.
She looked back at the cellar. It was gone. The cradle, the vials, and Elara were buried under a mountain of iron and stone. The only thing left was the dark tunnel and the satchel of samples.
"The Reapers?" June asked, stepping out of the shadows. She was holding her pistol, her hand shaking.
"Dust," Lydia said.
She tried to stand, but her legs gave out. Adrian caught her, pulling her close. He looked at her eyes. They were brown again, but there was a faint, silver ring around the iris that hadn't been there before.
