He sensed us, I could tell Kohl was getting frustrated as they kept losing our scent. Halo was teaching me all about how to lay a scent and then how she could bolt off so fast, her high leaps meaning the tracks were soon lost in the wind.
You’re like a gazelle I complimented Halo as she growled in appreciation, leaping several metres over yet another pile of logs. It had to come to an end though. I promised we would shift again soon, it was a sense of freedom I had never even considered possible. The rush of adrenaline was borderline addictive. I couldn’t wait to tell Ivan all about it.
