But still, my eyelids are absolutely reluctant to close. As I lay there staring blankly at the ceiling, I suddenly remembered Javier’s collection of horror books. That’s right. A while back, I’d idly picked up one of his scary stories. Since I’m actually a scaredy-cat, every time I read one of those horror stories, I’d immediately be scared out of my wits and end up falling asleep from emotional exhaustion.

Lilith called, returning me from my dark fantasy, "did you hear what I said?" "Pardon?" She huffed, planting her hands on her hips in annoyance, "I said, we'll be safe. It's so dark down there that no one goes. They're too scare and if they heard weird sounds that fear would only be amplified. As a result, they won't come down at all."
