SWEET SPOT
“I never thought in a million years that Ezekiel and I would end up together. I always thought stuff like this only happened in movies and books.”
Susie laughed softly and nudged me again. “So, what did your brother say?”
I blinked. “Say about what?”
“You haven’t told Garrett yet?” she asked, eyebrows raised.
“Why would I?” I replied, a little defensive. “I’m not crazy enough to walk up to him and say, ‘Hey, I’m dating your best friend.’ I’m not even sure how he’d take it. I won’t tell him. At least not now.”
“Well, understandable,” Susie shrugged. “So now… tell me, have you guys done it yet?”
