THE DOOR

THE DOOR

The intricate silver inlays on the bark flared with a sharp, brilliant intensity. THWACK. THWACK. THWACK. Three long, elegant spears embedded themselves in the wood of the causeway, forming a perfect, diagonal line just inches from Mwajuma’s bare toes. The spears were not made of crude iron or bone like the weapons of the wilds; they were forged from a strange, lightweight, iridescent metal, their tips humming with a high-frequency vibration. Mwajuma stopped, swaying dangerously. She slowly lifted her heavy head, her dark eyes fighting to focus through the haze of pain.

A SLAVE TO MY LYCAN MASTER

A SLAVE TO MY LYCAN MASTER

Rowan stood up right and pulled out an arrow and handed it to me, gently placing it on my palms. It looked just like any other arrow and so I thought, until I glanced at the tip of the arrow. Instead of the light metal at the tip of an ordinary arrow, its tip was made with thick metal, well pointed and curved at its edges. Just merely brushing my finger across the tip made a small piercing on my finger, and soon a light pool of blood escaped from it. “So, Rowan. This metal can kill a werewolf and a vampire instantly?” Zayne asked Rowan again.

I would never hurt my own kind unless threatened. Stralath nodded. Bobby stepped towards the wide window. "I need space, so I don't hurt anyone. Observe. And please don't kill me." "Don't waste our time." Stralath waved a hand. Bobby pulled up his sleeve and extended his right arm. A long bony blade shot from his wrist, and everyone stiffened. "This is our barbed spike. It's a little different from the barbed creatures on this planet—ours is made of a stronger material and can cut through most prey or enemies."

Its crystal core was visible. With a flick of her blade, Hayley pried it out. A crystal core the size of a baby's fist, impossibly clear and radiant, hovered before her.

This is by far and beyond the best book I've read in a long time! It kept me so engaged that I had a lot of sleepless nights and I had to force myself to put it down. If it was in book form, I would buy it in a heartbeat! Thank you Hugh White for writing and publishing this book. it's the story of a

Worth the read, well written and has a decent plot. The characters generally have a lot of depth, although one or two have been a little strange, maybe written that way on purpose. The FMC sometimes feels a little too cold, and vengeful, but again part of her character... I will continue reading!

My Mecha Is A Tad Overpowered

My Mecha Is A Tad Overpowered

With just one kick, Victor bent the pillar. The gap between the metal pillar and the floor widened, and the scorching hot air surged out even more intensely. Victor ignored the hot air completely. He grabbed the bent metal pillar and pulled it out with all his might. The Behemoth was absolutely livid. It wasn't that its internal metal was weak; it was because that metal pillar was a high-tech part packed with components. After all, it was meant to convert core module abilities into combat strength. How could a solid metal pillar do that?

Dragon's Breath (Book One)

I chuckle at the question that was all the similar to Ellies when she first arrived here. "Not usually," I respond. With no further comments from Soren, I watch closely as he pulls a large spear from his bag. The spear is made entirely of dark grey metal, except for the grip that's wrapped in dark blue stained leather with two silver beaded strips hanging from it. On the right side of the spear, below the point, what looks like an ax head stretches out of the metal in the shape of a wing. On the left side is a much smaller blade, curving down.

The Twins He Never Knew

of the Tuning Forks was instantly neutralized, the energy grounded through the salt-mist and the Blade’s obsidian core. The Apostles stumbled, their fiber-optic robes short-circuiting in a shower of violet sparks. Kael didn't stop. He sprinted past them, reaching the main drive-shaft. It was a pillar of solid steel, three feet thick, spinning with enough force to grind a mountain to dust. "This is going to hurt," Kael muttered. He raised the Hush-Blade and brought it down on the spinning steel.

Hiding His Heir: The Rejected Luna’s Return

Hiding His Heir: The Rejected Luna’s Return

The silver blade of the "System Dagger" did not draw blood when it struck Kaelen; it drew "Static." The moment the tip of the weapon made contact with the boy’s chest, the courtyard of the Blackwood Keep exploded in a flurry of grey, redacted pixels. Kaelen let out a shriek that sounded like a thousand glass bells shattering, but his body didn't fall. It "Lacked."

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

“But I will help you. Help you drain the spires of their power. Biadet.” She waved a feeble hand, and Biadet went to a drawer to take out something shiny. She held it out for me. It was a spike, exactly like the one I used to have. A simple, sharp point with a curved handle, but the metal was like a mirror. “I thought you’d prefer it like this,” said Biadet. “A local blacksmith made it.” The spike felt good as I moved it around. “What’s it made of?” “Chrome-plated steel,” said the Queen.
