“What the hell am I meant to do with this?” The monk’s eyes burned with irritation at his swear word and Eli gulped, whispering an apology. But at the front door, he said something, words leaving his tongue laboriously. "The Bible," he whimpered to me. Immediately, I ran back into his office, rummaging through the mess. It was in the most obvious place I didn't think to look in - on the last standing bookshelf, as the last standing book - the Hebrew Bible. And the irony was piercing - Abraham looked through every book that Ben owned except for the holy book itself. A book that would most like burn Abraham or his minion's hands if he were to touch it. Purposefully ignored, this sacred book had the parchments tucked throughout the pages of the 18th chapter of "2 Kings." My hands graced the leather cover, gliding over the "Holy Bib

Next came the padding of his feet as he disappeared. Pheew. I listened attentively till I was sure he gone and sighed. I then opened the door silently and peeked out to see the empty space. I picked up the Bible and moved back in. Pheew. I took a deep breath and dropped the Bible on the bed glancing at it. I wanted to use this as a help and guidance. But.... It didn't help... What the hell is wrong with me? Even the Bible couldn't help me. I am way beyond help.

The Lord said, sighing as he pressed a finger to his forehead. "Are you having headaches, Milord?" She asked, and the Lord nodded. "Stupid Migraines." "Hmm." Beatrice hummed. "Where should we begin? According to the book....it says guidance and patience would lead us there but we'd have to know where we're going first." Melinda said. "Where do you think we go Milord?" "Get into the carriage." The Lord replied, walking to the carriage and Beatrice followed suit. "We'll both take the church's carriage." Father Jude said for Melinda to nod.

Mom said as she drew Ola into a gentle hug. I walked over to the corner of the room where a little shelf was placed, I pulled out the big, black familiar book. It was my dad's most cherished belonging, his Bible. I opened to his favourite verse, walked over to my mom and handed it to her. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8: "So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord."

The voice made me remember a verse our pastor used as a sermon in the bible the last time I attended the evening bible study that always takes place every Tuesday. I can recall the verse very well that says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Take therefore the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand, therefore, with your loins girt with truth and your breastplate of righteousness on. And with the preparation of the gospel of peace on your feet;

“There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.” Please note, dear reader that the Bible verses are from Psalm 91.
