I liked that. And for once, I wasn't thinking about him. Chance Black. I'd finally shut him out of my head. Maybe I didn't need to fantasize about someone who looked through me like a stranger. I reached for my phone and opened my class schedule. Literature & Power - 10:30 AM. Prof. Chance Black. "Great," I muttered. I got up, grabbed a towel, and dragged myself into the bathroom. The shower hit me hard. I leaned into it, letting the water run over my body.

Peaceful. Vespera Hale walked along the mahogany shelves, trailing her fingers over the spines of the books. Philosophy. Strategy. History. She stopped. On a shelf at eye level, nestled between The Art of War and a first edition of The Count of Monte Cristo, was a book she didn't recognize. It had no dust jacket. The binding was matte black, textured like volcanic rock. The lettering on the spine was silver, sharp and angular. SAVAGE REBORN.

I can't live my school because it's the only school that get dark-side books in it's library in my town New Orleans. I frequently used to go to library to read about story life of past oracles so I went against Mr John's advice by sneaking into the library to read my favourites untill I was banned not to enter the library anymore. Even though I was banned but he had forgotten that I borrowed a book from the library weeks ago which happened to be the darkest one called The Black Cults because I was eager to know how the black cults kill the Viper in that book.

The creature approaches me and then lies down in front of me. Stepping toward the large hound I reach out placing my hand on the nose of the creature. The dog closes their eyes as a strong presence fills me. I gasp as the dog begins to disappear, slowly begging absorbed through my fingertips. My breath picks up as my lungs begin to burn. I sink to the ground gasping for air.

" Joe asked from behind her. "It's a birthmark borne by children who were touched by a goddess from another realm," She said casually. "Wait, what?" Kurt asked in disbelief. "Yeah, I read about it in a book," She said. "What book?" Joe asked. Lydia stopped walking and took off her backpack. She opened it and took out a large book and handed it to Joe. "This book..." She said. The book was large and on the cover, it had the word "TROLEYADIA" on it in large font.

Sayesha smirked. "What are you thinking?" Vera frowned, she knows that Sayesha is chaos. The zipper followed, the rustle of fabric. Then, thud. Something heavy landed on the desk beside my head. A book. "The Eros Discipline." His voice was a smirk. "Ever read it?" I shook my head, my cheeks flaming. "Pity." His hand fisted in my hair, tilting my head back so I could see the cover—a woman bound in ropes, her body arched in submission. "It’s about a professor who re-educates his student. Sound familiar?"

The king was focused to Chief Black at once. "We found this in hidden in the belongings of the crown princess, Your Majesty." Chief Black lifted his hand for everyone to see. I gasped and my throat ran dry when I saw what he was holding. It is a black little bottle with black lid. "And we found out that it indeed contains the deadly extract of the poisonous flower Lily of Morte." I felt like my whole world crumbled into ashes. I couldn't move. I couldn't speak. It felt like doom was suddenly in front, standing right before me.
