The Black Mountain Pack House was ablaze with light. It was the Five-Year Anniversary Gala, a celebration of "peace and prosperity" under Alpha Killian’s reign. Carriages and luxury SUVs lined the winding drive, filled with Alphas and Lunas from across the southern territories.

I smiled to myself, because I liked seeing Sal sweat. He grumbled, “Anything could go wrong. It’s technology.” We drove to the mortuary where Sal paid the mortician a tidy sum to give us an unclaimed cadaver. He’d arranged it a few days ago and Sal received a message this morning that a body was ready for our collection. Although the poor guy wasn’t the same size as me, he would have to do. We smuggled him out and into the car. Our wolves revolted at the stench of death.

Chapter 05: Knowing Hellbender After the signing contract, I returned to my room. Yes, mine since I became part of this giant moving ship. The Hellbender. On my way back to my room I always saw banners with a skeleton hellbender blowing fire. According to the biology book I once read before, it's the Cryptobranchus Alleganiensis, much more known by the name Hellbender, a large aquatic salamander. Its appearance is not that appealing but its sharp teeth are enough to cut through human skin.

Never did the Noble Rat expected for this human to hide such a card up his sleeves. He was dying just a moment ago, but now, his body had something weird on it. The current Yman has ears the same as the Noble Rat but it colored like black smoke. His hands have black long nails but the sizes and forms were the same as that of the Noble Rat and his eyes had turned red, but in this state, his vision was unhindered in this dark surroundings. He even has a black tail grown on its back the same as the Noble rat.

For him, it was already enough that Park had finally acknowledged the DelValle name once more—a name he once despised and tried so hard to abandon, yet could never truly forsake. And with open arms, Lucas welcomed him back. The entire family silently rejoiced. Tears shimmered in almost everyone’s eyes as they watched the emotional reunion unfold before them. Beside Ethan stood Pete, quietly observing the scene. She followed his gaze. The salamander encampment spread across the crater floor. A central structure of steel and stone served as headquarters, surrounded by tents and wooden buildings. Groups of salamanders were scattered throughout the camp. Some roasted wild pigs over open fires. Others butchered livestock or washed vegetables beside barrels of water. It looked as though they were preparing a midday meal.

"The boy is Mirren," I announced. "For the woman who built the sanctuaries." I looked at my daughter. "And she is Sable. For the mother who came back." The main hall was packed beyond capacity. Wolves stood along the walls and filled the benches and spilled out into the courtyard beyond. Silver Hollow wolves. Gray Reach representatives. Frostmarch refugees in their pale furs. Sunken Valley visitors who blinked at the crowd like they'd never seen so many faces. Ironwood and Stonefall delegates who had stayed after the summit.

The power of the Dragon God was so immense that Earth could not sustain it, which was why the Dragon God needed to live in a special dimension. Liam hugged me tightly and promised, "You should return first, Sadie. I'll come back to you once I take care of everything here." The golden light from the sky washed over all the Black Dragons. A pretty girl with the same dark hair as him popped up on the screen. She looked excited. “Big brother! Who’s that with you?” she asked, smiling wide. Alan pulled me closer to the camera. “This is Toby. The friend I told you about. Toby, this is Lily.” Lily waved. “Hi Toby! Oh my gosh, you’re even cuter than Alan said. Don’t let my brother scare you with his grumpy face.”

"Your reports have been reviewed and we are pleased with your progress. As soon as the storm clears, we will send in reinforcements to assist with relocating those women and children who would like to leave the pack." "And what about the former Alpha and his men?" The laptop screen flickered as the vampire on the other side shifted in her seat. A sharp black eyebrow lifted upwards over unearthly green eyes that resembled a serpent with blood red lip set themselves into a hard line.
