He has everything he needs to maintain his system, and I still cannot believe how careless he is about using them. I connect him to the home charger and pull back the panel behind his neck. The second I see the damage, my breath catches. His motherboard is nearly fried. The circuits are singed at the edges and his charge is almost at zero. If I had found him even an hour later, he might not have rebooted at all. “Oh God, Flynn,” I whisper as I run my fingers carefully around the damaged area. “Why did you let it get this bad?” Relief hits me hard and fast when I realize this is fixable. It might be stressful, delicate and absolutely terrifying, but at least it’s fixable.
