The Don Forgot Me, so I Forgot Him

The Don Forgot Me, so I Forgot Him

My husband Charles always had selective amnesia. Anything that had to do with me, he would forget, then promise he'd make it up next time. On my thirtieth birthday, I prepared an elaborate dinner at home and waited for him and our family to come celebrate. But the hour came and went, and no one showed up. Burning with a high fever, I went out to look for Charles and called everyone else. Isabella's voice was warm with laughter. "Charles is here with me picking out your birthday present. We'll be back soon." My best friend said, "Traffic is awful. I ran into Charles on the way, so we're heading over together." Even my own brother told me, "I ran into an old friend with Charles on the road and

The memory clearly fond. I froze—not externally—but something inside me did. Roman was laughing with me. Laughing at something I said. Not out of obligation. Not out of bitterness. Just… laughing. “You’re laughing,” I pointed out, almost startled. “What?” He blinked. “Don’t I laugh?” “Not at anything I say.” The words slipped out carefully. “I can’t remember the last time you looked at me without hate. Not after Dahlia died.” The air changed instantly. The laughter vanished like it had never existed.

Be prepared that although this story is mainly romance, it’s also complex full of betrayal, wrongdoing, and lies. There are morally gray characters, themes of dark romance, lots of spice, and intense drama. I loved the chaotic and fierce love that is Roman and Savannah and glad they got their HEA :)

I Will Find You

I Will Find You

Gamma work is mostly that: placing your body between a thing and a worse thing, again and again, until the worse thing remembers it isn’t invited. The lamps’ flames guttered and steadied. Frost took the lower panes. Somewhere down the hall, someone laughed too loudly at something ordinary and then cut it off, embarrassed by joy on a night like this. I wished I could bless them for it. Houses need laughter like lungs need humidity.

To top all of that, his voice was deep and husky, a huge turn on. "What is a pretty girl like you doing here outside, alone and drunk?" he retorted. I threw my head back and laughed. "I'm here to forget everything for a while." I mumbled after I was done laughing. I don't know why I was laughing, the whiskey is probably working. It did the thinking, the talking, and now the laughing. I wondered what's next. "And what do you want to forget?" he asked in a whisper.

Broken Illusions

Just a narrow fissure down its center, like a wound or an invitation. “This is it,” Lena said. “The Archive That Forgets.” Jessica let out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding. “It’s smaller than I thought.” “It only needs to hold what no one else wants,” Eleni replied. “Most forgetting doesn’t take space. Just silence.”

he replied and I nodded slowly. "But for a change , have you tried accepting the fact that some things never just go away by forcing them" "Just like me " he said and I bursted out laughing. "Aww , you have such a beautiful laughter " he said and I awkwardly stopped laughing , and now it was his turn to laugh. "Anyways , like I was saying " he continued as he sobered up, "Right now the only way forward is to accept that part of you that you want to forget so much"

He Divorced Me… But I Was Never His To Lose(regret & desire)

"When I met her, she had this terrible habit of leaving her coffee everywhere." Daniel blinked. The sudden change in topic caught everyone off guard. Gregory's eyes had gone distant. "Books." A small laugh escaped him. "Windowsills." He swallowed. "Inside the refrigerator once." The room remained silent. "I spent years telling myself I couldn't remember her voice anymore." His smile trembled. "But I remember her coffee." A tear slipped down his face. "I remember the way she laughed." Another. "I remember the way she looked at me when she thought I was being stupid."

The Anniversary He Forgot

The Anniversary He Forgot

"Hello?" The same mysterious female voice spoke from the other end. "Watch the video." Javier stiffened as he overheard. "What video?" "The one inside the package," the woman replied. Nina's grip tightened around the phone. "Who are you?" The woman ignored the question. "If you want to know why your husband forgot your anniversary... start by learning what happened six years ago." The call disconnected. Without wasting another second, Nina hurried to her laptop and inserted the flash drive. Only one untitled file appeared on the screen. Javier clicked play.

"You didn't forget." "Of course not," he smiled. Across the room, Soren watched quietly. He said nothing, as he always did. But something had begun to change. It became clearer after a brief conversation with Bruno one day. "Funny," Bruno said casually. Soren glanced at him. "What is?" "I don't remember your father bringing home gifts when you were younger." Soren frowned slightly. "He was busy." "I'm sure he was," Bruno replied, his tone light. "Maybe he's just trying to make up for what Lana lost."
