After skimming through the first few chapters, his interest died down and he immediately closed the book. Chris placed it back to where he had first found it. He felt chills running down his spine as the scenes were repeatedly playing in his head. “Just what kind of a book lets the female lead be so whiny and crazy?! My Lord… Nathan Hunt, just what kind of—never mind. I don’t even want to know,” he shuddered in disgust and hurriedly walked away from there.

I swear that this guy moves like a ghost. I sat down on the couch, I realised that there was a book on the table. I took it and it was one of my favourite author, it was Jane Austen and it was a first edition. I can only wonder how much it must have caused. Pride and Prejudice will always be my all time favourite literature. All in all I can say that being married doesn't seem to bad from where I was standing.

Instead he said, “What are you reading?” She looked up this time. “Why?” she asked. “You’ve read it before,” he said. “The spine is worn.” She glanced down at the book, thumb brushing the edge like she hadn’t noticed that herself. “Persuasion,” she said. “Jane Austen.” He nodded. “Yeah, the one where they almost lose each other.” “You’ve read it?” “My sister did,” he said. “She used to leave it on the kitchen table, I read the first half by accident over about six months of breakfasts.”

I felt heat start to pool low and a blush start to crawl up my neck. "About his ability to make himself everyone's problem." "Well, that tracks. At least from the little bit I've known him." She leaned closer to Rowan's section and started reading the titles off like she was browsing a bookstore. The books were a chaotic mix, some genuinely useful, others questionably so, but all jammed together in no particular order. She pointed to the first spine, reading it outloud, her voice dripping with judgement. "How to Win and Argument Without Throwing a Punch."

She reached into her clutch and pulled out a small, leather-bound book—cream-colored, the title embossed in soft gold script—The Perfect Wife: Grace in the Eyes of Society. She extended it toward me with a smile that didn’t reach her eyes. “You should read it,” she said simply. “Memorize the key chapters, practice the rest. It’s a useful guide. All Kingston wives have studied it. Including me.” I didn’t move, just stared at the damn, thick book.

We were focusing on the 1800's and the flow of Jane Austen's words. I've read the book before so I know what's going to happen & I watched the movie, but let me just say this: ITS TOTALLY OVERHYPED. It's not overrated, but it's overhyped. Do you understand the difference? If not, I don't have the time to explain it. I'm not saying that it isn't a great book— because, trust me it is,— but I didn't get why everyone was especially fascinated with it. See? I can't explain it. I tried so hard to focus today, but my mind kept wandering to daydream instead.

"I think I'm going to go down, put the stuff away. Maybe read a while." Sarah stretched her neck. "I think I might take a bath. Sounds relaxing." I nodded towards my bedroom door. "Use the one in my en suite. It's a Jacuzzi tub, way better than the one in your bathroom." "Oh, that sounds lovely. Thank you." "Anytime, just let me know when you're out." Forty-five minutes later I was curled up on the couch with my copy of 'Sense and Sensibility'. I love Jane Austen. She reminds me that ordinary people fall in love every day, and often when they least expect it.

She looks around at the unfamiliar surrounding. The walls were painted in white and gold, the bed she was sitting on was big with satin bed sheets. The wall above was adorned by a beautiful chandelier. She felt like she was in paradise. Her eyes traveled around the room till they set on the woman sitting on the chair beside her with a book in her hand. Pride and prejudice was the title of the book. In her perspective the woman was gorgeous and screamed of royalty. From her hair pin, to her jewelry and to her dress.

It's been three days since she started delaying the inevitable event of being stuck with Dom in Canterbury. After minutes of pondering, she stood up and reached the small shelf of books she has. Her eyes locked on two books, Jane Eyre by Emily Bronte and Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. She had just finished reading Persuasion, and she was still on the assessment of her feelings towards the ending of the story. Maybe another book can take her mind off things. She decided on Great Expectations, gladly picking up the book and bouncing back to her bed, to enjoy another pleasurable surmount of reading a book.

Her finger senses the spine of books like she could feel the words inside it, reading them softly, when Samson entered the room quietly. His dotting eyes gazing at the figure standing in front of him. His eyes raged with vexation but sooner changed under the effect of the aura emitted by the beauty. With her left hand, she gently massaged her long neck while squinting her eyes at the book titles behind her spectacles.
