Book Review On Sense And Sensibility Novels & Stories

I was reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, not the first time with this masterpiece, but my admiration never fades away. Jane undeniably is one of the most amazing characters I have encountered in a book. Her perseverance in the face of adversity, her strong personality and wisdom always leaves me awe. There was something about her that I felt deeply connected with, a major reason I always turn back to this book when my life tides seem to get violent.

He ran a hand through his messy brown hair, eyeing me with interest. “Literature. I taught eighth grade English.” I leaned back against the cushions, smiling soberly to myself. “I planned on introducing my class to Jane Austen this fall, right now actually. We were going to read Sense and Sensibility first. It’s my favorite of her works. I was told Bronte was too extreme for eighth grade.” Tommaso gave me a nod, his forehead puckered together, a scholarly look on his face before he broke into laugher. “I have no idea what you just said.”

What else could that be but silly and rich? "As friends, we should be sincere." Amanda smiled and picked out a book from the bookshelf. Looking at the cover, "Unsettled Feelings." What's more, it was a novel about adultery and remarriage. Amanda: "..." She had just been feeling so wonderful, why would she pick such a book? Paula asked with a smile, "Do you like reading novels? I really like reading domineering CEO novels. I dream that one day I can find a husband who dotes on me and loves me like that."

She had explained the distinction clearly enough yesterday. Wanting did not automatically become buying. I liked that about her. Not because restraint was inherently virtuous. I had never found deprivation admirable merely because it was difficult. I liked that Ailis knew the difference between desire and decision. She kept the green book against her chest and moved farther down the shelf. I moved with her. She noticed. That pleased me more than it should have. Then she found the blue-green one. A Season for Lady Rosamund. The title meant nothing to me.

Swept off my feet. Knocked to my knees by this woman who was turning my life into one of the very books she was quoting, the books that were my passion, my work... "My heart is, and always will be, yours." Her handss dropped to her sides, the paper hanging from her fingers. The paper that I would take from her and frame, to show all of our children, grandchildren, and their children after. "Sense and Sensibility!" Jonathon shouted out, obviously pleased to have figured one out first.

The more I try to draw boundaries she is making it nearly impossible for me to control myself from going and grabbing her face and kissing the shit out of her. I take a deep breath and return a soft smile," how about the classics, lex?" I ask her to divert my mind. " well, pride and prejudice is the only one I can truly think of!" she caresses the book on the book rack. " hmmm, interesting. I can't find any better than that one in the classics," I say while walking toward her. " but I think sense and sensibility were nice too, you know," I whisper not wanting to disturb other people in the store

“I don’t know. You keep everything in such good condition. I’m almost afraid to touch anything in this room.” “I know you’ll be careful with my things.” She nodded and pulled the book off the shelf. “I didn’t know you liked Jane Austen.” “Why not?” She shrugged. “She’s a woman author.” “I’m broad minded enough to think women have a lot to offer society. I enjoy her work.” “This is one of my favorite books. Sense and Sensibility. The story of two sisters who represent two opposing forces: logic and emotion.” He leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms. He seemed to be considering her analysis of the book. “I didn’t think anyone else in Virginia understood that.”

I had created an account with a different user name. I had a few notifications from the app, so I opened it. I read the book, she had been reading that day. It was very nice and captivating. I finished it over the night. I liked the way the author had penned down the book. I looked for the other works by the same author. There was another book which was not very long, I finished it within two hours. Her writing style was good. I liked the way she described the love scenes with a subtle sensuality. Romantic... Very romantic. Sensuous, steamy, witty and crisp. I commented what I felt and was surprised to see that she answered back politely.

I had been prepared to go through a romance book with raunchy scenes that were custom made for a female audience to giggle over. March Madness was about a housewife that resented her husband and marriage and was slowly finding herself again. It was well written. But it wasn’t what I would have ever imagined London wrote. Not even in a million years. It just felt like every other too serious work of fiction that were supposed to get reviews like, “outstanding masterpiece” “a thought inducing read”

" His voice was laced with that usual mix of arrogance and amusement. "Darcy was just a man too proud to admit he was lonely, and Elizabeth? A woman who mistook her stubbornness for independence. If they weren’t rich and pretty, no one would romanticise their nonsense." I blinked, processing his words as my steps faltered. That was… unexpected. Arrogant, yes—but laced with a biting intelligence that made it impossible to dismiss. I mean, I never took him for a serious, not to mention an intelligent person. I realised he had been reading it before I arrived when my eyes landed on the book he had dropped on the floor earlier.
