When His Eyes Opened

When His Eyes Opened

The Memorial Day weekend went by in a breeze. At the president's office at Sterling Group, Ben knocked on the office doors and entered the room. He walked toward the desk, then placed a few books on top of it. "Elliot, I got these from the bookstore for you. I hope you find them useful." Elliot glanced coldly at the pile of books. 'The Pregnancy Bible' 'The Sears Encyclopedia of Intimate Parenting' 'Caring for your Fetus' 'Caring for your Baby' … Elliot shoved the books into his desk drawer.

Christian scooped her up, kissing her forehead. “See? Mummy scared the child.” Hope pouted at me. “Mummy, stop shouting. You do it all the time.” I threw my hands up. “You two are impossible.” I escaped to the bedroom, book in hand, the thriller Christian had picked because “you like dark shit, Red.”

At first because he hated bad smell of peasants that passed him and he always wanted to smell good. William would like to believe that his father had grown up poor that when he finally became well off, he overextended and made everyone below him and insight miserable. William perused through his father's books on the dusty shelves, it seemed no one had been here ever since. In between the books, William found one that looked odd, not very interesting until he opened any random page. Christian finally learnt how to walk, I was getting worried. All my children walked before the age of two. I'm very delighted it has finally happened.

This book is intriguing. Well written. Really an eye opener for those that need to learn more about what the ancestors went through during slavery that wasn’t in the U.S. I felt for Paneshe. She was such a strong Black young lady.

hi author I really appreciate you writing such a wonderful story. I will be happy if you will write a story about the white lady who had an affair with one of the slaves in another plantation and they had a child. William mentioned it in one of the letters he wrote to Panashe

Christian nodded before he decided to ask, “What else does your mama say?” “Mama?” He grinned, adding, “Mama says that we should not lie, disrespect elders, gossip about someone or fight with someone.” Christian nodded, keenly listening to the kid, who added, “She says we should help others, forgive others, should not grummle about anything but pray about evveything,” he spread his arms for the last word, indicating everything. Christian chuckled. “She seems like a wise woman,” he said in acknowledgement. “Vu-mhn, what?”

Shattered Heart: My Owner is the Mafia Alpha

“I guess I can’t argue with that one. My mother… she should want to be in a room that looks nothing like… Like the ones she would be ordered to be in and please the guys.” The way his eyes softened talking about her kind of intrigued Rebecca. She didn’t think she would see so many different sides to Christian in a day. Why, not even twenty-four hours had passed, and she was learning so much more about him. All because of his love for his mom. “Mothers sure are something,” she muttered, getting his attention. “What was that?” Christian asked.
