The lost packs
He looks at me intently, reaching for my hand.
I let him take it, and for the first time, my heart finds stillness amid the chaos of our lives. “But she never let anyone doubt her strength or independence. She hated appearing weak. She wouldn’t tolerate anyone contradicting her, and she saw violence as the ultimate solution to every problem. She was the center of her own universe, and in that way, she became the center of everyone else’s too.”
