FASHION AND CRIME
As they talked, a waitress walked up to their table with a gentle smile.
“Good afternoon, detectives,” she said politely. “What can I get for you today?”
James looked up at her, thinking for a moment. “I’ll have some chips and a fruit salad,” he said.
“And for you?” the waitress asked, turning to Lewis.
“I’ll take rice and green peas,” Lewis replied with a slight grin.
“Coming right up,” the waitress nodded before heading off to place their order.
Lewis then unfolded the newspaper he had brought, sliding it over to James. He pointed to a page with a big headline: “Capital Bank Heist Investigation Still Ongoing.”
