The fear in her chest was overwhelming—like a storm she was struggling to contain. Madam Borra didn’t know how to respond. She held her forehead as anxiety pounded in her chest, her knees suddenly weakening. She collapsed onto the sofa, losing strength at that moment. Secretary Donna quickly rushed to her side, supporting her, her face filled with concern. “C-call her again! W-where is Lejandro? C-call him too—maybe they’re together right now!” Madam Borra ordered, her voice shaking uncontrollably. As Donna dialed, she glanced at Madam Borra and heard her softly whisper a prayer.

James and I exchanged a worried glance. Rushing outside, we found everyone in disarray. Several rogues lay injured on the ground, their faces contorted in pain. Anya, her face pale with shock, was tending to a young man with a bloodied arm. "What happened?" I gasped, my heart pounding in my chest. A strongly built rogue named Borris, his face streaked with sweat and dirt, stumbled towards us. He leaned heavily against the wall, gasping for breath. "Attack," he rasped, his voice forced and tired. "We… we were ambushed."

“Calliope? Are you alright?” I gasped for air, trying to speak, but the room spun violently, and my body refused to cooperate. My vision tunneled, voices becoming muffled echoes.
