Ugh, Amber hasn’t even been here a week and I am already ruining it. The next day I was trying to find her, Elias was playing with some of the omega kids in the playroom. He told me she was training in the gym. We had a gym in the back of the packhouse, it wasn’t as big as the gym in the center of town, but it was big enough for a few people. We walked to a hall with dimmer light and as I walk I can see a door right at the end of the hallway but along the walk, it was very quiet as if there is no one but you and Dex. We walk past the entrance of several shallow and small caves before we get to another cave entrance blocked by a barrier of thick vegetation. Severn opens the barrier and we walk into a fairly sophisticated gym area. Well, sophisticated for being in the middle of nowhere. There’s a treadmill, weights and a bench, a punching bag, a mini fridge, a stereo, and even a TV. There is also a large open space with a mat for sparing. Looks like they spend a lot of time out here. “What do you feel like doing?” Severn asks. I nod toward the bag. “Like I said, I need to punch something.”

He seemed thoughtful, and I was trying to keep my mind occupied. We passed through the turnstile where I used my biometric data to access the large room filled with various bodybuilding and crossfit equipment. Jayden showed me where the water fountains and locker rooms were, then took me to the second floor where some men were practicing martial arts. The gym was dimly lit carvenous at this hour, lit only by the faint flickering overhead lights and the cold sheen of moonlight sweeping in through the high windows. Blade came out with his usual all black clothing—a big black sweatshirt, a black baggy jean, black glasses, black face cap, black sneakers— and a revolver carefully tucked by his side. She was obviously young, probably fourteen or fifteen with red hair and a round hazel eyes which peered at me through the glass of the coffee shop. I couldn’t help but wonder who she was and why Blade had decided to bring her along. They both shared words before walking towards the coffee shop. “Emily!” Blade called as he walked inside with his companion right behind him. “I’m right here,” I said waving my hands in the air to draw his attention.

Selene answered. “I do my best not to fight since that happened. I never meant to hurt Blaine. It was just a reaction.” I said. “Do you have an area picked out to train?” Paisley asked. “I have a home gym. It’s right through those doors.” I said pointing to the right side of the house. “Let’s go see what you have in there.” Craig said skeptically. “It’s a complete gym. Free weights, machines, yoga mats, balance balls, and the French doors open out onto the yard.” I said.

The gym was deserted as no one came in there so early which is why he took her at this hour. The gym gave a very dark vibe as the walls were not properly painted. The cement was chipping off from them and everything was basically black. The metal training equipments were void of any damages and almost new. “You punch like a girl!” Jay commented holding the kickboxing bag in his hands. Mayra raised one of her brows staring sternly at the man in front of her. “Because I am!” Mayra replied kicking Jay on his legs and taking advantage of the shock to punch him on his stomach.

It seemed like most of the town was there. “Team Red is getting attacked by Team Blue,” Tommy explained, pulling out his phone and starting to press buttons furiously. I sighed. “Tommy, I have no clue what you’re talking about.” “This location is a Monster Gym.” He rolled his eyes as if what he just said made all the sense in the world. “Looks like a church to me,” I said, trying to walk away.

The kettle bells, horizontal seated leg press, cable biceps bar, chest press, rowing machines, hanging leg raise, thread mill and many more. The boxing ring can be seen in the middle of this fitness gym. “Have you decided yet?”, Greyson asked as he stopped punching the punching bag. He took some water and drank it. I can see his beautiful adams apple every time he swallows. I looked away when he turned to me.
