BROKEN

The bread smell got stronger by this time, I was still thinking of how hungry I was when I bumped into a hard wall. "Good morning, "the wall spoke. Wait what? Walls don't speak, I looked up and saw Brian smiling down at me waiting for my reply.
"Uhm, good morning, "I felt my cheeks burn up a bit as I looked down at my shoes, trying to hide my face.
"Breakfast is ready, you can head on to the table while I get the kids, "Brian said as he looked down at me, unconsciously I had moved two steps backwards from him.
