“I know, darling.” He towered over Corina, standing in all his six-foot glory. “But you are not very good at lying, are you?”
Corina swallowed hard, shaking her head.
“Just end it already,” the second man growled, standing in the darkness with watchful eyes as though he could sense that they weren’t alone.
“What’s the rush, buddy? It’s not like anyone could beat us.” The man towering over Corina stared at his hands. “Now that we are not breathing, I’ve never felt more alive.”
