Caleb held my hand as we strode to one of the open tents. "Oh? ice cream?" It's a violet ice cream in a small plastic cup, it is for tasting. Caleb feeds me a spoonful of ice cream. My eyes almost bawled in surprise as it tastes like strong sweet wine. I didn't know that there is grape flavor ice cream in this world, all I know is an Ube flavor for a violet color. I slapped Caleb's biceps and jump in excitement, discovering a new flavor of my favorite ice cream. Caleb chuckled and taste the ice cream too on the spoon.

You’ll definitely get mugged outside if you hang around too long, but the inside? Neon lights flashed and old rock music played. The ice cream display and counter was the first thing you saw on your left when you first entered. A gothic chick wore an origami hat on top of her head. She blew a bubble and it popped as she watched us with a look that screamed she wanted to go home. Below the glass counter there were flavors you wouldn’t find in a normal ice cream shop and on top were spiked drinks. You just had to pick your poison.

I said, chuckling as Genesis tried to poke the syrup with her straw before it was even handed to her. We passed a stall selling fish balls and kikiam, the scent of vinegar and chili oil wafting in the air. Cameron handed Genesis a stick of fish balls dipped in spicy sauce. "Careful," he warned. "These are weapon-grade spicy." "Not spicy!" Genesis grinned defiantly before chomping down, only to fan her mouth seconds later. "Told you," Cameron said, smirking. Nearby, a bubble artist had drawn a small crowd. Genesis pulled away from me with a gasp. "Look, Mama! Bubbles!"

The girl at the counter asks, smiling slightly. "Hi. I would like a scoop of bubblegum, a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of mint, please." I says and she looks at like I've grown two heads. "Okay, and for you ma' m?" She asks after shaking her head. I giggle lightly at Wren's face. "I would like a scoop of cookies and cream with a scoop of chocolate, please." She says and I smile. "Will that be a cup of cone?" She asks and I say cone and so does Wren.

“Your order, m'am.” “Va- Vanilla. Just vanilla.” Samael snorted, whispering under his breath: “What, no kink?” “With Oreos. And sprinkles.” “Refined tastes, girl. Now why don't they have rum floats here?” he said ruefully. “They do it with root beer. Is this institution so unflexible they can't use rum instead?” I tuned him out, watching the cute black-haired boy behind the counter. He gingerly scooped the ice cream out, cleaving it onto the metal board and mixing the toppings in. He caught my eye and smiled. I tilted my head, grinning back.

"One jumbo cheese burger, one diet soda, and ice cream." Avelyn was suddenly tempted by the ice cream ad that was displayed in front of the entrance door when she stepped into the restaurant. Vanilla ice cream topped with fresh summer fruits is an ice cream that McDonalds has just launched since two weeks ago. "Thank you." Avelyn said softly when the order was given to her in the form of a very heavy tray package. "Rebecca definitely won't believe it if I eat these fatty monsters," muttered Avelyn happily as she picked up the huge bundle of mouth-watering burgers.

I mumbled a 'hmm' absent-minded. "You think Blake is hot?" "Yeah." I replied absent minded. Then the words registered, their laughter echoing. Blake being silent. "No....I mean-I-"

I blocked Cody. "Tss! You're a kill joy Quinlee!" he said laughing, messing with my hair and I was shocked when he suddenly pulled me and dragged me to the Ice-cream booth. "Two Ice cream, Please" I heard Cody say to the ice cream seller. "Mmmm... The durian flavor and chocolate flavor is really good." I heard him say while eating ice cream. "Ube flavor is better!" i answered. "what did you like about----- *BLAGGG!!!!*

“You loved bubblegum last time.” Her brow furrowed in deep concentration before she nodded decisively. “Okay, strawberry and bubblegum!” Luca tugged at my hand, his little voice barely audible. “Vanilla… with shprinkles.” “Of course, sweetheart,” I said, giving his hand a squeeze. Alexander ordered chocolate for himself, while I went with caramel swirl. He carried the kids bowls to a table by the window, their excitement contagious. “Careful, Emma,” I warned as she scooped a too-big bite of bubblegum ice cream, smearing it across her cheek.

I asked Jide in a whisper while washing my hand. "It is a generator. It supplies power too," he explained, washing his hand too. I took a morsel of fufu and dipped it into the soup. The soup had a bitter taste at first before leaving an almost sugary taste on my tongue. "What is this?" I asked. "Onugbo," Mama answered. I smiled. "I like it." Mama smiled proudly.
