Caged by a King

Caged by a King

Elowen snapped. “I solve it by keeping you alive,” Corvin said. Elowen stepped closer, heat rising in his chest. “Alive where? In your rooms? In your sight? Or under your command?” Corvin’s jaw tightened. “Under my protection.” Elowen shook his head. “You dress it in softer words, but it is still a cage.” Corvin’s gaze did not waver. “A cage keeps predators out.” “And traps animals inside,” Elowen shot back.

The Prison

The Prison

said Old Joe, standing up. My two inmates lined up before the metal rails and I followed their suit reluctantly. One by one officer came into view as the barrier opened up. We walked in silence, in groups of threes with officers in tow, a baton in their hands. We were led in a canter after some time. Inside were prisoners alike me, lined up for food.

Antiquarian's Precious Find

Antiquarian's Precious Find

“How sketchy?” “The back of the van’s basically a metal cage welded to the interior frame with a couple steel benches on either side. The two prisoners already in it look like they haven’t bathed in a week and they’ve been using a metal urinal connected to a drainage tub. Probably for the same amount of time.” Pinching the bridge of his nose, Shepard cursed again. “Extradition’s a state responsibility and most of them contract with these kinds of services. Does it at least look like they can’t get out of the cage?”

Irresistible Boss: Succumbing to Your Touch

Irresistible Boss: Succumbing to Your Touch

After all, everyone knows what happens to abusers in prison. Then I was here, in this stinking, ugly, foul place, locked in a cage like I was some animal, isolated from everything, from everyone. They said I would be here for a few days. They call it adaptation, but I couldn't believe anyone could adapt to this, that anyone could adapt to bars, restricted freedom, this slop they gave me to eat. No, adapting was impossible.

This book is getting more interesting that how I wish I can divulged it at a goal, how I wish the secret of the evil people exposed early before it is too late for Alexander and Catherine to be together and build up the real family

Alpha, Not Luna

Alpha, Not Luna

"I'm serious-" "Or else, I'll be in a cage?" I say dully, my eyes going to the back of the house where the shed is located. Beneath the shed is the real prison. Nobody is locked away for more than a year as punishment- the aim is to teach discipline to its occupiers. That's not the worrisome thing- the torture cages are, and both are located there.

Why Are you Still In My Brain?

Why Are you Still In My Brain?

The guard and I passed the C block and D before we reached my private cell, the C and D inmates sleep in the same large room with bunks around their cubes. The C block and D are same clean as the A and B, the differences are just they don’t have a private room and privacy, and of course the fridge and the room heater. They separate the inmates between races and I don’t know what the purpose of it, I think all people are same no matter what kind of race they are, but this prison separates the inmates. The white stays in the half of C block, the Hispanic stays in the other place of C block, the Blacks and Asians stay in the D block.

Bully stepbrother

Bully stepbrother

So, the guards should be glad I have no escape plan like the notorious criminals meant to be here. “Don’t talk to her like that,” Caden thunders a warning to the officer with great fortitude. There is nothing in this world that could make Caden cringe. “Get in,” the officer orders when he frees my shaky hands, ignoring my stepbrother’s attitude. The jail Caden and I are thrown into is exactly the kind you see in pictures. The cell is situated underground in the department. The sullied walls are thick and covered in creepy graffiti. Strictly barred openings with metallic bars are solely designed for oxygen and, mostly, for keeping an eye on the criminals, including me.

I loved this book, although Caden was such a jerk, after getting into it and realizing why his character was like that, it made a lot of sense. I'm so glad I came across this book, it's one I would read over and over again. Author, you did an overall excellent job, I hope to read more from you soon.

Caden makes me so angry. I genuinely hate him. Love the main character though. Very good writing, I wish our main character could find someone who doesn’t give in so easily or like if our main character could have pepper spray or something to stand up to him.

Cellblock Heat

Cellblock Heat

I watch his face return to a deep scowl, but this whole moment of jesting and teasing is all short-lived because the guards had ordered everyone out of their cages, automatically unlocking everyone's cell with a buzzer. They rule over us with the ammunition hanging actively low. One fuck up from any inmate, and they'll be shut. I guess today isn't a good day for violence in Block C, that's why we're all obeying their introductions by standing by the front of our cell, and waiting to hear our code names. We don't do that mechanically because…just because. Shuffling our tired feet, mumbling, we all stand by the doors of our cells. Most people leaned on their doors. And my preppy was one of the

It turned out that the inmates locked up there were all serious criminals—ruthless and unforgivable characters. Jade's chances of survival were slim being locked up with them.

Allen asked. An idea flashed through Jasper's mind. He looked at the six iron cages carefully. It was true. They were not locked and they were sealed off on all sides. "There are three people in each cage. If they were only put inside after they were dead, then they won't be able to struggle. If they were put inside when they were still alive, then that means that they're absolutely outclassed. There must be many murderers," Jasper said.
