The Billionaire’s Blood Proxy

The Billionaire’s Blood Proxy

In this new world, some miracles were better left unanalyzed. "We got it all, Alex," Jax said, his voice softening. "The primary, the perimeter, the seed-stock. We actually have a harvest." Three days later, after the storm had passed and the basin had settled back into its quiet, alkaline peace, the first fire was lit in the communal kitchen. It wasn't a high-tech heating element; it was a simple stone oven built from the ruins of a pre-Reset warehouse. The entire camp gathered in silence. Alexander watched as the camp’s baker a woman who had spent twenty years maintaining the liquid-nutrient vats in the slums, pulled the first loaf of bread from the oven.

Protected by the Moon Goddess

Protected by the Moon Goddess

My mind is focused on one thing, and one thing only. The omega. Orch. I have to survive this. I have to make her safe. ** TRUCK After the fire settles down to a nice bed of glowing embers lined with white ash, I place the freshly caught fish directly on the embers to cook. There's a hiss and a vortex of orange sparks rises toward the stars. I sit on the riverbed and listen to the creek flowing at night, clear and cold. Even with the wall of dark trees on one side, this campground is relatively exposed, but I don't care.

BLAIR

BLAIR

“Eh? Hide? I didn’t hide anything, I don't know how I did it... But I did.” “Huh? Impossible. You just mustered up a lot of astra back there. You beat that thing with only one hit!” The woman even acted out her words. “Well… Yeah, I don’t know how that happened.” “Then… Are you two from Solheim?” “Huh?” Both of them said at once. “... Okay, tell me from the start.” ….. The campfire was relit and small logs were placed around it. A piece of meat was also being slowly roasted over the fire. The sounds of crickets slightly overlapped the sound of fire crackling, snapping the firewood bit by bit.

The Rejected True Heiress

The Rejected True Heiress

“Don’t you have something better to do? Maybe they need help with dinner. Since you seem to be an expert on that.” I poked my tongue into the inside of my cheek and turned. “Whatever,” I muttered, making my way over to the main area of camp. A fire had been started, and someone was making broth for tonight’s stew using dried bouillon powder and some root vegetables that had been foraged. “Man, one of those rabbits would be perfect for the stew,” I heard the cook muttering as he stirred the pot. “I saw a big, fat one earlier,” another Gamma replied. He looked up then, spotting me. “Liora! Are you free?”

Great story and characters. Absolutely hooked! However do feel like the story is dragging on a bit and when you feel like its coming to a close something else happens and it starts all over again. Hoping its coming to a end soon and MC gets her happy ending.

His Regret

His Regret

He said and the next thing I knew, he was out of my locus and pacing towards the Campfire that was lit in front of our Cabin. Some villagers and most of my werewolf warriors were gathered around, and at the center of it all, wearing a stained Apron, was Shrilly, and he was busy— burning the meat. Uh-oh. He was roasting the second Boar over the fire and from the expression on his face and the way he was pacing around now, it seemed like he had realized he was burning the Boar and not cooking it. But what he didn’t realize was that a raging Cayden was pacing towards him.

No steamy season yet in this book.only in the description of the story that’s it. Very misleading. I agree it started out great but the writing and character seem to be very childish I am loosing interest really fast. Even though it’s fave stars it should be two maybe three no more so far.

Dracovia: The Awakening of the Old Magic - Book One

Dracovia: The Awakening of the Old Magic - Book One

The pup wakes and watches me then runs about gathering stones that are out of my reach. “Thank you little one, here.” I toss it a small piece of my meat and it chomps down hungrily, when Fang returns with the leaves, I fill the gaps in the wood and then try to start a fire. Finally, a spark catches a leaf and soon the flame builds until it is self-sustaining. Naturally, the pack get nervous about the fire, but they calm down when Fang settles behind me, unfazed. There is one stick I kept separate and I use this to spear my meat on and hold it over the fire to cook.

Home to the Mountains

Home to the Mountains

Then, I sectioned out some to freeze, and then with the jars we'll get tomorrow, I can finish up the rest. When I'm filling the last of the jars and enjoying the setting sun from the kitchen window, a delicious aroma starts to fill the cabin. It smells like dinner, only I'm in the kitchen, and I'm not cooking anything. That's when Axel walks in with a smile on his face. "Come with me. I have a surprise for you." "Does it have something to do with the food I smell cooking?" "I thought ww could do a real campfire cooked dinner tonight." As I turn the corner, I gasp, as he has a table set up under a canopy of string lights. There is food cooking on the campfire, but the fresh picked flowers and

The Endgame Chronicles

The Endgame Chronicles(The Apocalyptic Queen Theresa)(Supreme Survivor In The Zombie Apocalypse)

Hayley lifted a hand, and Griffin immediately pulled out their supplies like he meant to show them off. If they wouldn't leave, fine. She would make them jealous instead. They set up a burner, and before long, a pot of camp stew was bubbling away. It was thick, rich, and heavy with meat and fat, with chunks of vegetables softening in the broth. The moment a few more fresh ingredients hit the pot, the aroma deepened, instantly drawing a crowd. "Whoa, that smells amazing." "What is that?" "That's camp stew!" People turned all at once.

This is by far and beyond the best book I've read in a long time! It kept me so engaged that I had a lot of sleepless nights and I had to force myself to put it down. If it was in book form, I would buy it in a heartbeat! Thank you Hugh White for writing and publishing this book. it's the story of a

Worth the read, well written and has a decent plot. The characters generally have a lot of depth, although one or two have been a little strange, maybe written that way on purpose. The FMC sometimes feels a little too cold, and vengeful, but again part of her character... I will continue reading!

The Lycans' Luna: Dyrad of the Elden Wood

The Lycans' Luna: Dyrad of the Elden Wood

She is too weak. I looked at Luca who seemed quite far away, but I could still see him skinning the meat from the wild animal he hunted earlier. I quickly turned back towards the campfire that Adam was preparing. "Is your way of starting a fire the same as ours at Valeria?" I heard Adam mumble. I saw him using wood which was rubbed tightly between two black stones. Soon sparks could be seen and he placed dry leaves on top of the wood and it burning slowly. I smiled, “Are you guys really that old-fashioned?” I giggled.

Whispers Of My Incubus Guardian

Whispers Of My Incubus Guardian

“Just stating the facts. If the stars were watching us last night, I’m sure they’re still recovering.” Shaking my head and chuckling, I got up and changed quickly into something more comfortable before stepping out to join him. The sun was still low in the sky, its light draping the world in soft gold. Birds chirped lazily overhead, and the scent of forest dew mixed with whatever Damien was attempting to cook over the small campfire. He was crouched low, brow furrowed in concentration, poking at a pan like it had personally offended him. I leaned against a tree, arms crossed. “So… is this the ‘slightly burnt’ part you warned me about?”
