“They’ll hunt me either way.” Xander’s hands clenched at his sides. “I won’t let them take you.” Zade laughed bitterly. “You don’t own me.” Xander’s eyes darkened. “No. But I won’t watch them break you.” The words hit harder than any declaration of affection ever could. For a long moment, they stood there, breathing each other in, the danger between them undeniable. “This academy takes,” Xander said quietly. “It strips, it molds, it destroys anything that doesn’t fit.”

One thing was certain, nothing good was coming out from this gathering. “Phoebe sterling, please take a seat,” a feminine voice full of undeniable authority and pride said. I sat, a shiver went down my spine sensing the intense energy radiating from each of the extremely powerful beings sitting in front of me, especially Alpha Dominic. “Being without a wolf at your age is something that hasn’t happened in centuries so we have decided.” Another elder uttered. My heart almost jumped out of my chest as fear gripped me, awaiting my fate. Alpha Dominic spoke up “You have two options, either you’ll be banished and sold as a slave or …..” My jaw dropped at the statement and I glanced at my father,

The roof leaked in interesting patterns, and the concrete floor stayed cold enough to keep the nightmares at bay most nights. My name is Nico Black. Twenty-one. No family. No future. Just scars that mapped out every place life had kicked me and a high school diploma that meant exactly nothing in a world still limping after the Swarm War. I found the letter two days ago, slipped under the warped metal door like it belonged there. Black envelope. Crimson wax seal shaped like thorns wrapped around a drop of blood. BludHeaven Academy. The vampire school. The one that had started letting humans in after the Integration Accords turned everything upside down.

Before I could start to cry, Gabe ran out, all legs and arms and thick curly hair, and helped me up. "You'll be okay," he'd said, brushing off my knees. "Shake it off." "The academy is a place for them to learn about the supernatural, train, and gain strength. They've been learning - though they didn't know it at first - how to help, hunt, and kill supernatural creatures of all kinds in case any of them came after my boys or, more specifically, you." I lifted my glass to take a drink and stiffened. "Why would anything else be after me?"

In these sanctuaries, they found solace, healing, and the freedom to express their authenticity without fear or judgment. One of his hands was on the wheel, and with the other hand he was holding a cigarette his hands were both shaking uncontrollably and his face was full of horror, just when the large iron gates of wyrmwood came into view, he hit the brakes hard almost throwing me off my seat, he was muttering something I didn't catch, so I just ignored him and stepped off the bus. I didn't have any suitcase or large bags, I only had my old school bag that was casually slung over one of my shoulders the bus drove off before I could take another step, I turned and faced the academy, wrymwood didn't look like an academy, it looked a palace, It had large stone towers and long vines on the walls, and all the window

I fired at him back. "Wow, it seems our play toy is now strong enough to talk back to its owner," mum said, coming into the room. "Didn't I told you that she has grown wings now?, She had the effrontery to talk back at me simply because the Patriarch family wants you as the next luna of their pack which I'll make sure it's doesn't come to pass not while I'm still on the surface of earth" he said to me holding my chin more tightly, eyes full with rage and hatred his veins are almost popping out of his neck as he speaks with total anger.

It is where the strongest are chosen to move on, and the weak either die, quit, or get expelled. Werewolf Academy isn’t your regular human university. There, we are taught the necessary skills to survive the incoming war. We study like the human do, but learning their science and technology is in no way fundamental to us. We have the Moon Goddess. We have portals. We have her blessed magic. We have pack telepathy. What better way to communicate than that?

I replied, controlling the urge to roll my eyes, reminding myself that I was the heir to the water kingdom and needed to treat my citizens with respect. Adriana looked at me, confused. She only had a sliver of divine power; she was maybe one-sixteenth God, if not less than that. I wasn't sure why the academy had invited her. Her tiniest amount of power wouldn't have made a difference around the mortals. The mortals would've assumed she had a water affinity; they would chalk it up to the elements and call her a Wiccan. But the council had determined that anyone showing any amount of a God-given gift was to attend the academy.
