Winter POV The pack grounds never looked like this before. Strings of orange lanterns hung between the trees, glowing like small captured suns. The scent of roasted corn and caramel filled the air, blending with the faint musk of wolves in human skin. Children ran past in tiny costumes, miniature witches with glitter-painted faces, little wolves wearing fuzzy ears that looked too big for their heads.
