I really need to get there on time before Anna does something bad. The moment I reach Catherine’s mansion, I step out of the car and rush towards the mansion with my hands shaking. As I step into the house, I almost stumble back. Catherine is frozen on the couch with a gun pointed at her forehead; she cranes her neck to stare at me, dried tears on her cheeks. “Help me.” She mutters faintly. The TV is still blaring with the scene from the hall, damn it. Catherine must have been watching everything live, the shock to know who her husband actually is and that her only daughter is dead is a lot to take in.

As long as Sarah was still free, it would be like a ticking time bomb. “Ha, what trouble can Sarah still stir now?” Catherine sneered, unconvinced. She turned around and left. That was the last time she saw Wesley. It seemed like she would not be able to meet him anymore in the future. … After leaving Titus’s villa, Catherine’s pretty face was dark. Initially, she wanted to obtain some information about Sarah. Her hatred toward Sarah was bone-deep. She did not expect Wesley would refuse to come clean about Sarah. Catherine had a slight headache. After experiencing the incident with Rebecca, she felt like Sarah’s existence was a bomb. Maybe there would be a day when she would return.

Nathan POV I sat at Catherine’s desk a few days later, still trying to make sense of the shocking revelations as I cleaned out the files and folders and stacks of notes. Catherine had not only arranged for a hired rogue assassin to open fire on the final Alpha Presidential campaign event, but she’d done so with the intent of getting herself shot. Actually shot. Just to prove that she was willing to do so. And for what? Out of some twisted sense of love for someone she barely knew.

Catherine hungered to sweep her off or probably even kill her. Catherine had sent spies to get the location of Diana's apartment and after getting the location they proceeded with the mission. With almost a perfect strategy as this, Catherine had failed to accomplish this mission and if something isn't done fast the whole plan will crumble. Branden was always her dream man, even in a hundred years she would never get over Branden. Her love for him became a deadly obsession, she was willing to end the lives of anyone that dared to stand in the way between her and Branden.

Unknowingly, a guard walked from behind, she noticed as soon as she saw him and put on her hoodie as she quickened her steps but he had already seen her face. “Madam Catherine! Your father has ordered that we capture you as soon as you are sighted.” The guard's voice echoed in the hallway. Catherine did not respond nor did she turn backwards, instead, she ran so fast and fled down the stairs. Her wolf side was fully charged and her fangs and claws were all out. She jumped down from the three-storey building and hid under the stair house. When the guards came, they could not find her around so she sneaked to the stable. She bumped into one of the stable boys who fearfully retrieved backwards.

Before she could react, Catherine continued: "Juliet, you schemed and plotted to steal everything from me, but in the end, everything returned to its rightful place. Don’t you find yourself pitiful?" "No! I’m not the pitiful one! You are! You’re the one who lost to me! Catherine, why didn’t you die?!" Juliet suddenly went mad, pounding on the glass partition. The wardens rushed over to restrain her, and Catherine stood up. Before leaving, she said: "If there’s anything I regret most, it’s saving you from those human traffickers all those years ago." With that, Catherine walked away without looking back, and Juliet stopped struggling. Her entire body went limp, drained of all strength.

Catherine took in a sharp breath and decided to snap out of the dirty thoughts. "You never failed to remind me that I'm no good for him, and yet, look at him. Won't you just be too proud to give him a clap? He fucking cheated on me." Cassian didn't say anything. Soon enough, Catherine grew tired waiting for whatever his reply would be, she just decided to finally lean back on the passenger seat and just relax. One thing's for sure, she doesn't know what will happen after this. She doesn't even know what has gotten in her that made her go with him, but she doesn't care anymore. She would even be thankful if he'd take her life at any given moment. It's just that... she doesn't have any will to
