The day I shot a bullet right through Garet Turner’s head. Mason stared at me like I just grew a second head. “You… what?” I leaned back into the couch, my fingers steepled in front of my lips. The memories rushed in without permission. It was no secret that Xavier had been close to my father. But Mason had probably been a child when everything fell apart.
