The gates slowly creaked open, revealing a sprawling estate that seemed to stretch endlessly. She tightened her grip on the wedding dress, her nerves fraying as the car rolled forward.

“Her scent is overpowering everything. It’s all I can do not to—” I cut myself off. Didn’t need to say the rest. Didn’t need to admit just how close to the edge Zey was riding. Crowley’s smile turned faintly amused, but he didn’t push. “If Terrence says it’s strong,” he said carefully, selecting a deep violet vial, “I would start here. Violet wolfsbane is the most likely culprit.” My fingers tightened around the edge of the table. “And if it’s silver?” Crowley paused. That was not a pause I liked.

James said, sitting in a chair. “I will have to take more than usual; she’s coming with me to the Aequivalere headquarters here. It’s overseen by the vampire Queen Hazar,” Dorin explained, unsheathing a small dagger. “It’s necessary,” Dorin added once he saw James’ skeptical expression. “The Aequivalere need to see that Lily isn’t a crazed mass murdering beast like ninety-nine percent of the hybrids before her,” Dorin explained sitting next to James.

For a moment, he just stood there with furrowed brows, his orbs fixed on the cover. “Zombies are Real?” he read, tapping his fingers on the book. Taking a deep breath, he averted his gaze to the books seated next to them. Using his free hand, he grabbed one. “Supernatural Being.” With his lips curled, he scanned them from back-to-front cover. Immediately after, his mind drifted without prior warning. Something about the titles probed his guts. He just didn’t know what. Should he believe these zombies and supernatural beings were true? If not, how could he explain what he’d seen the night before?

The creature got up again, its roar shaking the whole room, but before it could attack again, Vaelora suddenly stepped forward. "Vaelora!" My whole body went totally tense, but instead of backing down, she looked the creature straight in the eye without any fear at all. "I recognize this energy..." Vaelora said. Simon immediately panicked. "Miss Valora, get back!" Vaelora slowly pressed a hand against her head. "I've seen it before... in the memories from that ritual." The creature stopped moving. There were a bunch of black eyes all over its body, and they slowly started to move toward Vaelora. The crazy wind that had been going crazy in the basement started to calm down.

One of the centaurs let forth a deep, vicious roar. The warhorse beneath neighed angrily. "Rrrr!!" The dazzling aura of the centaurs erupted as they surged forward. They lifted the several metre-long spears that could pierce the skies. In an instant, they charged forward. The aura buff and the 300% stat buff tripled their strength. "Thud!" The leader of the attackers, who was still advancing, had already been penetrated by the spearhead. "H-How!" He had despondent looks in his eyes. All of the abilities and spells he had learnt throughout his life were ineffective.
