He laughed, a low, ugly sound that echoed off the stone walls. “You talk like you still have a choice,” he said, taking a step closer. “You’re locked up. Disgraced. The pack is restless. And now the Alpha is dead.” His eyes gleamed. “Chaos is a ladder, Thorne. And you’re standing on the lowest rung.”
