She’s been planning to leave for a while now!” “Shut up!” Leonard tossed her to the floor and kicked her body mercilessly. “Don’t make me kill you!” Mike stopped the rampaging Leonard and looked coldly at Judy on the floor. “My pack doesn’t welcome liars. You’re exiled.” That day, after Leonard beat her up to the point she could no longer move, the guards threw Judy out of the pack and into the wilderness as though she were nothing more than trash. As for Leonard, he became the laughingstock of the pack after Judy was kicked out. His packmates who envied his love story now looked at him with contempt.

My bones nearly cracked from the impact as it slammed against the hard floor. I glared at the crowd of people who'd been my family for the first 20 years of my life, now threatening and beating me up all for the sake of an outsider, and felt my heart turn to stone. I wiped the blood from the corner of my lips and glared daggers at them. "I'm going to call the police! Not a single one of you is getting out alive!" Isaac was even more enraged by this. He kicked me hard in the back and thundered, "The police! To hell with that, you stubborn old bitch! I'm going to fucking beat you black and blue!"

The member list in the channel was painfully clear, showing only four avatars: my father, my mother, my brother, and Bella. My brother, Enzo, replied a moment later, "Just the four of us. Don't call Aurora." "If she comes, she'll just find another excuse to bully Bella." I stared at the words, frozen. It dawned on me then. In this family, I had been the outsider all along. ... As if on cue, my mother's call came through. "Aurora, there's a sudden sit-down with the capos. We won't be back at the manor tonight."

If they already saw me as an outsider, why was I still trying so hard to belong? I scoffed, "I don't want anything. I wish you and your family a lifetime of happiness." With that, I turned and went to the bedroom to pack my things. Sophie followed me into the room and slapped me across the face. "It's New Year's! What kind of attitude is that? It's just an apple. Do you have to turn the whole house upside down over something so small? Julius already feels awkward in this family. After your little scene, just how embarrassed do you think he is?

Hayden had been waiting for was meant for Selena. Of all people, it had to be her. A bitter ache spread through my chest. I suddenly lost my appetite. I set down my fork and stood to leave. The moment I grabbed my bag and turned around, I ran straight into Selena, who was carrying a bowl of sauce. "Ah!" Selena let out a sharp cry and immediately fell into Hayden's arms. The impact knocked me off balance, and my hand slammed onto the still sizzling grill pan. I sucked in a sharp breath from the burn. By the time I steadied myself, the back of my hand was already bright red. Pain shot through me, and I instinctively wanted to run to the sink for cold water.

“Let’s go!” I ran into the cave, followed by Xander, but one minute he was in his human form and the next, he leaped forward and his paws hit the cave floor. Several of The Outsiders charged toward us, and I cut off their heads with the sword and ripped out their hearts instantly, causing their bodies to burst into flames upon the ground. With a wave of my arm, I threw several more against the wall and then ripped off their heads as they suddenly burst into flames. As we fought our way inside, the burning bodies of The Outsiders illuminated the cave, revealing three other caves.

and then she left. --- Outside, Cassandra stood at the bus stop as she began to remember all that she saw earlier, soon her eyes began to tear up again uncontrollably. Just as if heaven smiled at her rain began to pour as people hurried past, umbrellas snapping open, buses roaring by but she didn’t move. It looked like she was the only one that didn't looked at the weather forecast today to prepare herself. It wasn't just the forecast, she didn't noticed the betrayal that went under her nose for a while.
