Character Bio Template Novels & Stories

I’m always practicing writing, unsure if I’m getting better or not. My main character, Ley… I don’t know how he would turn out at the end of this series. Here, he started out a random guy who died, and then joined the march of the dead. Later, it was revealed, he knew a bit about soul ceremony. In the beginning arc, he was quite the brat, and then when he woke up as a deity, he suddenly became mature and a bit analytical (though still sometimes stupid and immature). Was he confusing? Or not sticking to his character template? What character template/temperament should a 20-21 year old guy have?
