DARKNESS

DARKNESS

Nisha. I remain silent in the darkness of the room, it's been hours since Griffin left here, no one has come back in, I stopped crying a long time ago, there's no point in doing it, I need to find out what he wants from me. However at that moment I remember Dark's words, "he set his eyes on you, there is no way or way you won't end up in his clutches... when a mobster wants something he doesn't stop until he gets it" his eyes on me, he wants say you like it? But what need does he have to kidnap me, who doesn't know how to ask for things like a normal person? I sigh at how ridiculous my thought sounds, it's a mobster who says they're normal.

The Pack's Triquetra

The Pack's Triquetra

“I understand.” “No,” he shook his head. “You have never,” he laughed ruefully. “You have NEVER understood. I’m not sure if it’s because you cannot see through the darkness of us, or whether… whether you are simply so… PURE, and whole and wholesome that the darkness within us doesn’t exist to you, because everything that you look at is lit by your internal light, so you cannot see the shadows, like a torch in the night, where we are all blindfolded and thinking that we can see...”

Fantastic follow up to the first book. I keep going back to the first one to reread the corresponding chapters. It’s so good to see all the perspectives. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Such a clever way to present a story. I’m hooked. I’ll read anything this author puts out at this point.

His darkness

His darkness

I could see another silhouette behind, a familiar one; My wrafter, but I didn’t have time to mutter a command. The pain was too overwhelming for my body and conscious to handle, and I was out cold, embraced inside a pool of darkness.

Sapphire Austinyour office obsession
I couldn’t comprehend the amount of information I had that day. I could see the entrance getting closer, as a shadow stepped out from the doors as my vision blurred, and I fell. I had nothing left in me; the darkness cascaded down around me as I was dragged into the abyss.

The Wife Who Returned

The Wife Who Returned

The dark moved differently where it was. She had not felt it since the courtroom. The absence of it over the past week had been its own kind of information; she'd known it was still there, still counting, still present in the architecture of her life, but it had been quiet in a way that felt like waiting rather than absence. Now it was here, and it was not quiet, and it was not waiting. "The lesser one has found purchase," it said. No preamble. No build. Just the fact, delivered with the weight of something that considers pleasantries a waste of architecture. "A new vessel. Younger than the last. Hungrier."

Divorced By The Billionaire Husband Who wanted Me Back

I didn’t hesitate. I stepped forward. “Anna—!” But it was too late. Because something inside me Unlocked. Not fully. Not completely. But enough. Energy surged through me Sharp. Bright. Alive. And for the first time I understood. Not everything. Not yet. But enough to know I wasn’t powerless anymore. And as the darkness closed in I raised my hand. And whispered “Stop.”

When Darkness Embraces Forbidden Fruit

When Darkness Embraces Forbidden Fruit

What she was standing in was nothing like that. It was dark in the sense that it was not lit by any external source. It was not dark in the sense of absence. The darkness here had texture, had depth, had the specific quality of something that was full rather than empty, that contained rather than lacked. She moved her hands through it and felt it as a medium rather than a void, something she was moving through rather than standing in the absence of things. It responded to her.

Instead, I let the darkness eat me up. ~*~ I was aware again—of the darkness. Although the rest of my senses seemed to betray me, my hearing didn't. "Come back to me," the same, hoarse voice demanded. My brain tried to remember who owns the voice but it was pointless. I was too tired to think or to fight the darkness. So I let it consume me once more. ~*~
