“You see this? This is the power that will be stored inside you!” She cackled excitedly as we watched the mass of dark energy above her become bigger and bigger. It was hard to believe what I was seeing but I had never before sensed magic as strong as this. It was understandable now why she needed a chimera; a normal body could never store up this energy without being destroyed. It’s even possible for it to be blown away into smithereens. Watching it almost stopped my heart. Yes, I knew what was going to happen to me but to actually see it be in motion made those words feel like reality now. This was really happening; this was all reality, not a bad nightmare.
