Choosing You
Nelson walks in with her briefcase and begins class.
She dives right into a lecture on the relationship literature has with other arts. After going on for at least fifty minutes, Professor Nelson, lifts a page off her desk, poises her reading glasses at the tip of her nose and begins to read. The words flow off the page brilliantly, with confidence, lacking the arrogance you’d expect from someone who obviously knows their shit, but isn’t trying to be an ass about it. Each inference is correct, precise, holding the attention of everyone in the room. Something about the words are familiar. Soothing even, like I know them from somewhere, though I've never read this paper before.
