An American Cinderella

An American Cinderella

I kept his hand in mine, enjoying the way he felt beside me as we walked the paths back to my workplace. Our conversation was easy as we walked. He told me more about Paradisa. Apparently it was a rainy place, but that it was always green because of it. It rarely snowed there except around Christmas time, which made the snow feel more special. Being in Western Europe, it was of course filled with castles and history that the US just didn’t have. He went to elementary school in a castle built two hundred years before the Declaration of Independence was even signed. “I’d love to visit Paradisa,” I said as we made the last turn before my workplace. “It sounds beautiful.”

Accidental Claim

Accidental Claim

Our reaction made her feel relaxed. "Wow, things happened pretty fast, but your life turned out more normal than ours," Racheal said to Cindy while we all giggled. She was right. Cindy's life turned out normal. Racheal got pregnant before her joining but had to wait four months before she got claimed. I, on the other hand, got claimed, went through a lot of hate and love situations with my man, got pregnant and then got married. Cindy met my brother, fell in love, joined, claimed and now she is pregnant. Racheal was right when she said Cindy's life was normal. I was glad for her.

Online at Midnight. Missing by Morning

Online at Midnight. Missing by Morning

Amir brings out physical drives, old-school encryption, systems that require hands and presence and consent. “This is slower,” Jade says, watching cables snake across the dining table. “Yes,” Amir replies. “That’s the point.” Lila sits with a notebook instead of her phone. Paper feels strange in her hands—solid, untraceable. She writes names. Dates. Fragments of stories. Not full accounts. Just enough to honor existence. “She was seventeen,” she says suddenly. “The art account. She posted at night because that’s when she felt safe.” Jade looks up. “Did she tell anyone?”

My Ex’s Uncle Is Obsessed With Me After Divorce

My Ex’s Uncle Is Obsessed With Me After Divorce

She had assumed Nyla had returned to win Clark back from Jordyn, but now it seemed otherwise. Lost in thought, Patricia didn’t notice Nyla heading upstairs. … Nyla changed into casual clothes in her room. When she came back down, she found Cindy sitting on the living room sofa, looking angry. Seeing Nyla, Cindy sneered and threw a document at her feet. "No wonder you haven’t gotten pregnant in three years. It turns out you’re a barren hen!" Cindy snapped. Nyla frowned as a sense of dread crept over her. She picked up the document and opened it.

Mated to the Apex Three

Mated to the Apex Three

Just survive the intermission. Beside me, a tiny, frail servant girl named Lira was down on her hands and knees, frantically scrubbing a patch of blood-slicked dirt off Lady Morrigan’s spare moon-steel shin-guards. She couldn't have been more than fourteen years old, a rankless orphan taken from the outer boundary camps, her small frame so gaunt her ribs showed through her thin grey wool dress. Her hands shook violently as she wiped the metal, her wide brown eyes darting toward the upper stands in absolute terror every time the crowd stomped their boots.

Loving Alpha Darkness.

Loving Alpha Darkness.

“Were you also kidnapped?” “Yes.” Cinderella's enthusiasm immediately dulled. “Derrick kidnapped every one of us, I was taken from a party, Maya was taken where she went hiking, Aria was taken when she got lost, Dahlia was taken when she went to visit her mother's grave, Cassy was taken when taken when she went out with her boyfriend and got too drunk, and Serenity was taken from her home.” Vanilla nodded. “I am sorry.” “Oh, no! You don't have to be, it's not like you were the one who kidnapped us, why don't you tell us your story too, everyone here has one, and we all share it when we first came, except for Maya who was being stubborn.”

Sold To The Stongest Alpha

Sold To The Stongest Alpha

Zel said, bringing her hands together and clasping them. Her eyes were still open and completely as white as her hair. It threw me off. "Good," Cinder said, "Hold it up. When I'm back, I'll pick them off one by one. They'll tell the story of how this mountain area is cursed for generations to come." Cinder turned and walked away. I could tell that she was pissed. I didn't know if I was supposed to blame myself for that. I followed her into a room that I had never been before. She swept the mess on the only desk in the room away with her hands and told me to give her the blade.

A little Cinderella moment

A little Cinderella moment

The third quarter was interesting Lucas scored a touchdown from the forty-meter yard line. That is impressive for a young man like himself and what I have been told by Selena who goes doe eyes every time his name is mentioned. I think she may have feelings for him I need to know their story. But anyway, with what Selena was telling me he’s a fellow country student. From Victoria, Texas. I thought I could hear a Texan accent from him when I heard his voice at the ice cream parlor.

BRIDE OF WRATH

BRIDE OF WRATH

She gestured to Alex and Nik. Glenda set her spoon down, smiling tightly. "Well, look how far you've come, darling. From dusty, old Aspcreek to this magnificent palace. A real Cinderella story." Lyla's gray eyes burned with anger. "Except I didn't come here on a fucking pumpkin. I was sold." Glenda flinched at the language, but said nothing in response. A deafening silence settled over the table before Justin broke it again. "Lyla, it's not like we didn't care…"

I haven’t finished reading this book yet but want to say I’m thoroughly enjoying the chemistry and love that slowly bloomed between Zephyr and Lyla. It’s refreshing to read something that’s not all about sex or toxic masculinity. Great job, writer!
