“Angel, I’m home,” It was dark in here, only moonlight prevented me from breaking the vase but when I glanced above the fireplace, there wasn’t any there, which made me frown because I always kept it there, like mother used to. Beside the fireplace, a gothic clock stood there, dinged when time displayed to be three in the morning. There were chocolate brownies under the plastic cover, I bent and stuffed three of the bites at least while checking around if Angel was still up. Thinking about her, I tried to recall her real name Mattia told me, but couldn’t.
