The second book finds people who are at the beginning — who are deciding whether to commit to the kind of practice the first book describes, and who need to understand what that commitment requires and what it produces.
It is recommended at the Valencia gathering, now in its fifth year, by Inés — who has been reading chapters in draft for two years and who says, at the gathering, that the second book is the one she will give to her niece when her niece is deciding what kind of work to do with her life.
