Kicking Him to the Curb
"Nothing I do is right; nothing is okay with you. What the hell do you want from me? Aspen, stop pushing me!"
Colin's jaw clenched, his gaze piercing as he stared down the woman before him. Yet, no matter how hard he looked, her eyes held no trace of the former tenderness. There was only cold detachment, as if he were nothing more than a stranger. In fact, she looked repulsed.
That realization shook Colin to his core, and he wondered why. It made no sense how the woman who had once adored him suddenly became this way.
"Pen, enough of this, alright?" Colin finally said, pulling her into his arms despite the pain. "I'll apologize, okay? I'm sorry. Just... let's stop."
